Pursuing policies that only the EU elite only really want...then getting Selmayr to do there bullying for them
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
But instead...the EU democracy had this man imposed upon them - by one individual. And then said individual threatened to resign if opposed. And the lilly-livered members cow-towed to that tune rather than risk any upset or turmoil - ignoring the potential for that which may result in the future

Selmayr fiddled an election to get a top position in the EU. A position that can't be taken away.Somebody may have fiddled their election expenses ( eg UKIP use of EU funds), but this is no comparison to the 4 freedoms. You know this.
The whole system is rule based and relies on 28 countries sticking to the rules. Yes, some break some rules, but no one is breaking the 4 freedoms. No way the EU is going to officially alter that for an ex member. Why should they?
More like they can add a bit of flexibility with a Norway deal.
An opinion: 'Now that the Chequers deal is off the table, even the Brexiteers are turning towards the single market and the EEA'
I don't believe that Selmayr got a position that he had no right to get?I would have thought you’d have thought it’s irrelevant more than anyone. Given that you think that Junker is some Lex Luther type character dictating everything from the top of the tree. It doesn’t matter who’s below Lex Luther will always be at the top pulling the undemocratic strings below. If you truly believe that (and there’s pages and pages of you saying that) then it shouldn’t matter whether it’s punch or Judy on the end of the string. Maybe you just don’t believe what you’ve been saying.
Who are you quoting on an outrageous way of using totally insulting terms? If the EU wasn’t there, some people would still blame foreigners for anything that goes wrong in their lives. Before the EU came into its present form it was the „pakis“ and before that the „paddies“ ( quoting other people btw ). No doubt at some time in the past it was the people in the next village that were the problem, or witches, or heretics, or pagans... the list is endless. But, you just make things up to fit your current anti evil EU agenda.
What are you trying to pretend that hasn't happened?Name the parallels.
People wanted to look into Junckers dodgy past. But he is in charge so it didn't happen. You mentioned other EU countries wanting referenda not me. I don’t think referenda are the way to govern countries. With the exception of Switzerland which has a tradition. All EU countries are parliamentary democracies not direct democracies, so there is no automatic requirement for referenda and referenda are even banned in Germany at state level because of bad experiences in the past.
Yes I want another in the UK. The people were misled on the last one ( yeah, I know, also by remain), and only a vote by the people can rectify the damage being done. If parliament don’t honour the referendum or make a deal the people don’t want, then people would lose faith in it. In other words we have to go back to the people when we actually know what Brexit entails. And give them the option „Take it, or leave it“.
How about your own POV?I‘ll ask you again:
What is his function? Which part of EU democracy had him imposed upon it?
If you want to write crap and gibberish on here, it would be nice if you actually explained what you are on about.
It would of course be easier for you if you knew yourself what you were on about.
Selmayr fiddled an election to get a top position in the EU. A position that can't be taken away.
But he sees it more important to look at someone who fiddles expenses. Is that because it isn't someone running the EU but someone who wants out of it?
People wanted to look into Junckers dodgy past. But he is in charge so it didn't happen.
People wanted to look into how Selmayr got his position. But he is also in charge so it didn't happen.
People of the UK voted leave. The EU doesn't like the result. So we should look into it and have another vote.
Yeah all seems fair to me :wideyed:
Do you know what Selmayr‘s old job was? Do you know what his new job is? Do you know how he was appointed to his new job? Which election are you talking about?
Go back, do your homework, and when you know what you are talking about come back again.
The only reason there is far right extremism is due to the EU and it’s arrogance and disdain for many of the member states it pretends to support.
So shall we just start again and I will post exactly the same again. It all explains everything.Do you know what Selmayr‘s old job was? Do you know what his new job is? Do you know how he was appointed to his new job? Which election are you talking about?

Juncker set up tax dodges for corporate clients. It cost billions each year in lost tax revenues.
But you don't want to talk about Juncker.
Selmayr has a family history that goes as far back as his grandfather getting pardoned for war crimes so he could take up a top position in the German government. He helped set up the German secret police. And recently he got a position that he had no right to get. A position that can't be taken away. He is well known as the puppet master who directs those at the top of the EU. He is the one who got them their positions. He is German. You say that Germany has no say in what happens in the EU.
But you don't want to talk about Selmayr.
Farage is finished in the UK. All he has is the MEP position. But you mention him as much as you can. You make out that everyone admires him that can see faults with the EU and brings them up.
So let's forget about everything dodgy about the EU and just talk about Farage.
So shall we just start again and I will post exactly the same again. It all explains everything.
Did I post how he got his latest position?
He wasn't in a high enough position already to get it. So he was given a position high enough. Then Juncker told everyone that because of retirement there was a position available and two names had been put forward. The other person named instantly withdrew from wanting the position. That left one person in the race for the job. So no vote was needed.
The whole thing took 19 minutes after he was given the position that meant he could go for the next position. The only person left in the race for the position was Selmayr. The position wasn't even advertised like EU rules say it has to be.
So what else would you like to know? I can bring up the links from yesterday or whatever you like.
What are the odds that it will always be someone else's fault?
I've read some nonsense on here but you like to go one better.
Ah so they are not doing what they can to make us stay in? Those pro EU lot that work as MEP's don't count?Well it would do if you twist things round. Which part of the EU is looking into the referendum result?
What I asked you. What was his old job? What is his new job? And, which election did he fiddle? You seem to have a problem with that.
I can't read French. Is the headline good? What does it say?

If you are not going to acknowledge his appointment was a FIFA style stitch up then you are actually one if he fee even pro Eu supporters who won’t accept otherwise.
So you are either on the wind up or so indoctrinated further discussions are pointless.
Ah so they are not doing what they can to make us stay in? Those pro EU lot that work as MEP's don't count?
Oh the irony of you accusing someone of twisting words.
No. I asked questions that haven’t been answered. What’s the problem?
Is it comedy day today? We’ve been through Juncker‘s tax affairs a million times. You bring it up every day on every topic.
Selmayr‘s grandfather‘s interesting CV ( it must be interesting as it has now overtaken Juncker‘s in Astuteland ) is not relevant to the job he has been appointed to. It is just a wind up because we are in a bad negotiating position with the EU, and the WTO btw, and we are getting our excuses ready and have already now found someone to blame. He is foreign .... and a German.... and connected to Juncker....Bingo.
Germany has a proportionate say in the EU. Being German is actually a hindrance as it is unlikely that he will be elected to succeed Juncker when Juncker retires. There will be a compromise candidate and probably from a smaller EU country. Selmayr is the first German in his new job for over 50 years. Sort of makes your argument that Germany rules the EU look a bit stupid.
Farage is in the news constantly in the UK. If Juncker farts, Farage is asked his opinion. He will be working with Bannon from now on. Expect a revamp of UKIP into a Brexit right wing party under a new name with a couple of well known mainstream politicians giving it an air of respectability.
Don't you have the slightest worry about what direction the EU is going in?When Brexit turns this country to shit I wonder who Brexiteers will blame for it? Presumably they will deny the decline, the tanking pound, the lost jobs, just shake their blue passport (made in France) and shout "see, not all bad news..."
Which person at the top of the EU isn't looking into it more like.Which part of the EU is looking into the leave campaign?
And here is how it happenedHe was Junkers campaign bully who managed to “persuade” members to vote for junker. He was appointed to a position to enable him to get an application for the top job. A job many observers commented he was not qualified for.
Then he applied for his current job which it seems wasn’t actually advertised and he strangely was the only candidate although apparently someone else pulled out. It’s suggested by insiders in the Eu there was payments and promises made to make it happen.
He is seen as no great thinker just a bully and a thug who bribes or intimidates to get his own way.
Just like FIFA
Basically we are in the position France was in the IV republic, but without a DeGaulle to save the day. 4 prime ministers were pushed to departure because they didn’t understand European politics. May will be the fifth. She doesn’t know how to protect the UK from the damage caused by Brexit. Then they name companies that know they will not be able to stay in the UK after Brexit because of the queues and time lost at the ports. Suicide is in the title and means what it says.... economic suicide.
Don't you have the slightest worry about what direction the EU is going in?
So what do you call false? What compared to the government having to stockpile foods and medicines? Nope.
Tell you what, why not explain to me why I should be worried. Facts though eh, none of your batshit conspiracy theories.
So what do you call false?
Even Mart admitted it is true. No conspiracies here.
Or would you like to say what isn't true?

Which person at the top of the EU isn't looking into it more like.
And now the puppet master has got a position which gives him a bigger say in public as well as behind the scenes. But you say it is OK because he is intelligent.
