So where did I suggest they should? You suggested that Germany should consider writing off Italian debt, so why should it be different for Italy's debt to other countries, like the UK?
I'm not sure what holidaymakers have to do with anything? Italy is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world with UK citizens making up 6% of visitors. How would the UK fare with tourists not coming to it from the EU? Weird you have never touched up on this.
What non-negotiating face? Negotiations have been ongoing recently.
Martcov............ I Can't be bothered to drag up all your posts highlighting my point but I think you are so against Brexit because you are associating it too much with some of the right wing politicians who have backed it. You seem to see Nazi's in all the shadows, you have spoken so much about issues with German right wing media and parties and in other countries. You are a bit obsessed and see it as a victory for these types when in essence it was a victory for democracy in many ways. Both the Remain and Leave campaigns were quite insulting and threatening to the British public but at the end of the day, it was offered to the people and the people made their choice. There will be good and bad consequences to come out of all this for the UK I'm sure and our trading partners if they don't seek to find a way to smooth the transition. The UK is a multi ethnic, multi faith, multi coloured community. Probably one of the most accepting, welcoming, generous and forgiving people too and none of that will change because we are not in the Euro club anymore.
Another example of the uneducated right wing Tories insulting foreigners. And as the article says, it was national conservatives who enabled Hitler through a coalition. The Nazis never had a democratic majority. What concerns me is that we have national conservatives in the UK Tory party and Farage comes into that category. As near as you can get without being a Nazi.
Tory leader in European Parliament makes Nazi jibe at German MEP
National conservatives what a load of bollocks.
What do you class right wing conservatives talking about the UK going it alone as? All the talk of 1066, Dunkirk spirit, how we stood alone and such, coupled with constant insults and comparisons of foreigners with Nazis and Communists certainly suggests a strong National Conservative belief system. Would you suggest that they are something other than National Conservatives? If so, how would you class these embarrassing clowns?
There is hardly any of these comments reality is there? Dunkirk spirit hardly makes someone a national conservative. It’s an expression for resiliance. 1066 is really proving someone sits there alongside Adolf
If your communist comment refers to Jeremy Hunt that’s a laugh. He’s far more of a liberal than you.
How’s Herr Oettinger doing in the EU these days? Shall we explore some of his views?
No, let’s stick to the clowns embarrassing the UK.

Blimey mart, I really think you need to take a few days away from this forum. Seriously.
So where did I suggest they should?
I said one of the two main ways of Italy getting out of the financial mess they are in would be having debts written off. The other way is defaulting on its debt. Why didn't you try to have a go at me for suggesting that Italy should default on their debt? Because it was under the same context as having debts written off.
Or do you know of another way that Italy can get out of the situation of having to find what looks to be in excess of 50 billion a year just to cover the interest of the 2.1 trillion it owes? Because the EU is trying to tell them they can't lend more. But they need to lend more to pay the interest payments.
And on tourism. It isn't me saying that people won't want to go. It is all down to the restrictions that the EU threatens us with. Or did you forget that part?
I agree - we should leave him be. He has issues that are beyond this subject. That is clear.
Any restrictions would be reciprocal and plenty of tourists from the EU visit the UK.

Well they only seem to exist in your head as you can’t name any
I just posted a link.
Have I said anything different?Any restrictions would be reciprocal and plenty of tourists from the EU visit the UK.
Boris calling black people piccaninnies (which is racial slur in itself) with watermelon smiles was a good one. Or how about the go home vans and rhetoric as a whole from the government over windrush. Just of the top of my head.So when you said conservatives in plural you meant one.
So if I show you two xenophobic comments by 2 senior pro Eu politicians do you accept that the Eu is more racist?
Yes or no?
Have I said anything different?
You seem to be trying to pick faults with what I have said when there are not any.
What happens if flights get grounded? Some people like taking their dogs with them. They say they might be in quarantine for the duration of their holiday. We might be limited to how long we stay. So no long touring holidays.
There is 3 for starters.
Do you disagree with any of this SB?

It's another long line of predictions that haven't come to fruition. The EU and the coalition will eventually compromise. The 5Star's record when in power is not good and there's a lot of worried people over there about the impact they'll have on the country long-term.
Ok monkey boy
How about “nigger in the woodpile” by Anne Marie Morris?
Didn’t Lord Dixon-Smith use the N word also while he was a front bencher?
Haven’t they also had a couple of candidates in elections lately who’s histories are littered with racial slurs?
So you think the Tory parliamentary party is riddled with Nazis.
I know you clearly have some attraction to Mart but it’s a bit embarrassing especially as you’ve boasted frequently you’ve mainly voted for them.
I thought a good thing about staying in the EU was our flights wouldn't get grounded.Flights won't get grounded; dogs not bring able to go freely to the EU and being limited to how long you can spend in each others countries should hardly be a surprise.
Check the date. The article is from today. I haven't brought up old news. It's another long line of predictions that haven't come to fruition. The EU and the coalition will eventually compromise. Whoever got voted in this time in Italy was going to have a hard time. So if the far right was ever going to get voted in this is the best time for it. The usual parties won't get all the blame if it all goes wrong. And maybe the EU will offer a bit more to keep the far right on their side.
The long term damage has already been done. An unmanageable debt has been run up. Something needs to give. But the good thing about Italians is they don't carry much personal debts themselves.
There might be after we've paid the divorce bill ..... eventually.I thought a good thing about leaving was that they'd be an extra £350m a week to spend on the NHS.
