Do you really believe the whole thing wasn't co-ordinated and arranged in advance? Her leadership campaign website was registered before the referendum had even taken place!
I have a suspicion they expected to force Corbyn to resign and when he didn't they had to put up or shut up. And here we are, they tried to change the rules to stop Corbyn standing, that didn't work. They've altered the rules on voting, how much impact that will have is unknown.
Not sure I could stand up and keep a straight face saying Corbyn is unelectable while doing my best to ensure the leadership election is stacked against him.

Sure, by all means the PLP have the right to be concerned by Corbyn's performance, but they surely realise there's a will for a dynamic left-leaning option, who can hold their own in the basics of, well... talking?

If Corbyn stays in and there is a general election I really fear he will win.
There is too many soppy people in my generation (18-30) who think he is politics saving grace. These are the same people giving everyone who voted leave shit and claiming they know everything.

I can't ever see him becoming PM. He has no charisma at all. Labour haven't had a charasmatic leader since Bliar. And they won't get back in until they find someone to pick them up and take them forward.

At least with Corbyn Labour may have an identity that will allow people to make a choice on what they feel is important to them. Right now we have Tory, red Tory and racist Tory.
Whether that is successful is another matter. Labour have to find a way to increase the turnout, and get those that don't vote to vote for them. It may transpire that Corbyn only sets the new direction of the party, and he eventually hands over to someone else to carry on into the future.

Corbyn has many many faults I dislike and I wouldn't vote for him. Some do my reasons include he doesn't sing the national anthem as he believes in a republic. He is very scruffy. He said he wouldn't shoot terrorists. He wants open borders. He was very close to the IRA and it's members. He is a staunch pacifist. He protests at everything. He certainly isn't a leader.
Now all that being said the way this coup has been brought about sickens me and it isn't fair on him. He was elected fairly with other candidates and he won. By hook or by crook he won. That's the end of it. He hasn't been a scandal.
The whole labour movement is a shambles and looking at this eagle woman shows just how much it won't recover. She is no opposition and just a chancer rising off the back of this coup. She again looks scruffy.
The party is finished which is a shame. There has to be someone who represents true labour values and can connect with northern cities and towns. Even people who haven't voted before.
I guess in conclusion what I'm saying is whether corbyn or eagle gets in next either way it's on a loser.

Yes - it's the thing I am most bothered about, the PR man in the designer suit has done a wonderful job.

All I know about him is that he appears deluded.
He is saying that a second referendum should be held to ratify any Brexit deal with the EU. So let's assume the nation rejects it? Do we go back & try to negotiate further...then have another ratification referendum? And another & yet another if necessary? Or if the first is not ratified do we have another referendum on staying in or out?

Did anyone watch Johanna Baxter from the Labour NEC being interviewed on the news yesterday? She was obviously very upset and reported that private addresses and emails of the committee had been leaked and that enormous pressure and threats had rained down on the committee before the vote on Corbyn. One member who had become subject to particularly vile abuse requested a secret ballot and Corbyn voted against.
While he and McDonnell continue to denounce this behaviour in public - this is their mob. And who leaks the addresses?

Wasn't Johnson at the same school as Cameron? School argument doesn't work here. Cameron went of his own accord - nothing to do with Mrs May - as far as I recall. Do you think the Boris appointment is seen as a good idea? Here they see Johnson as a liar and a clown and don't think he should be rewarded for those characteristics. At best she has handed him "enough rope" - let's hope he makes good use of it.

I have always voted, in the last general election I nearly didn't as there was nobody I believed to be worth voting for.
