Saw Jesus and Mary Chain again last night. They were excellent again and did plenty of their early stuff as well as a load off the new album.
They were supported by Brix and the Extricated who are lead by Brix Smith (ex of Mark E smith of the Fall) They were very good too and chucked in a couple do decent old Fall tracks into their set (dead beat descendant and LA). She's very very short.
I saw her play with the Fall when she was still married to Mark E Smith and they had a massive row on stage!
Saw LCD Sound system in London last week - absolutely brilliant, new stuff is fantastic. Got to get round to seeing J&MC again.
That must have been amazing!
Mark E Smith and Brix rowing mid gig I meant...
Ive seen em 5 times with no bother!to be honest it was the 2nd time I'd seen the Fall and the 2nd time he'd had an argument with someone on stage, I found it a bit tedious.
I went and watched the play of Rita, Sue and Bob too up there last week and it is a bit of a mess. Makes you think why it wasn’t all completed whilst the students were off.went to see Public Service Broadcasting at the Arts Centre on Friday.
Lot of work going on up there, it was like watching a gig on a building site!

Went a couple of weeks back to see something, and it did at least amuse me to see the countless elderly, very lost people aimlessly and helplessly wandering wherever.I went and watched the play of Rita, Sue and Bob too up there last week and it is a bit of a mess. Rita, Sue and Bob too was great by the way!
Got a couple of gigs coming up next year including Roger Waters, Evanescence & Peter Kay.
My friend drives for NHS and in the past I have twice got him tickets for AC/DC as he has been at work when they have gone on sale. He is a bit of a technophobe too and doesn't have a pc/tablet, rarely uses email, never goes on price comparison sites when his insurances are due and certainly doesn't have a ticketmaster account. Iron Maiden tickets go on sale today and he asked me to get some for him so I said yes and then last night he tells me that last time he went to see them they weren't given tickets and had to show the credit card used to get in. I checked on Iron Maiden's website and sure enough no tickets are issued and you can only get in by providing the credit card used, photo id and if possible the confirmation email. All people that you buy tickets for have to go in together. It all seems a bit OTT and I know they are trying to stop the touts but there has to be a way round if you don't use modern technology. A lot of their hardcore fans are likely to be in their 50s & 60s and like my friend not really a technology user, how are they supposed to get tickets & get in? My friend has got someone else to get tickets for him who is also going to the concert, the thought of me driving 660 miles there and back to watch Iron Maiden so he could get in was not very appealing, sometimes it's bad enough to do that to watch CCFC!
Did he/she manage to get a ticket?Ha ha! Very funny! Praise be to the Lord for this joke!
I got tickets for Glasgow in April 2018, brother going to birmingham in May 2019Rich said:I managed to get Peter Kay Tickets for June....2019.
He's not in Glasgow until May 2018.I got tickets for Glasgow in April 2018, brother going to birmingham in May 2019
Yes it is in may. Somehow I managed to get 2 tickets as soon as they went on sale. It took me ages to get my brother's and only then when they added a new date whilst I was searching for ticketsHe's not in Glasgow until May 2018.

I got tickets for the Sunday in may 2019He's not in Glasgow until May 2018.
I reckon theres 2 or 3 in my mum and dads attic. The original ones go for good money on ebay nowdays. I've still got my Teenage fanclub T shirt from their gig at cov poly in 1990?91? and a purple Dinosaur Jr one from 1991 reading. the rest seem to have disintegrated over time.
I saw the Killers at the NEC on Tuesday night. It turns out the guitarist and bassist are not doing the tour so that's half the line up who couldn't be bothered to show. Not having been to a gig at the NEC before I don't know what the sound is usually like in there (I was sat towards the other end of the hall) but it had the quality of a pair of poundland earphones, tinny, muffled and not particularly loud. I'm not a huge Killers fan but back in around 2005 I saw them at Machester MEN and the the sound that night was unreal, the loudest i've ever experienced and clear as a bell so I was very dissapointed this time around.
Anyone else going Gorillaz tomorrow night? I'm really looking forward to it.
On a sadder note, I know the Fall have been mentioned in this thread, apparently Mark E Smith is very ill, sounds like his colourful lifestyle could be catching up with him.
Yes, me and Wingy are going tomorrow. Should be good. On the Mark E Smith front, I heard something recently about him walking off stage during a recent gig and performing the rest of the show from his dressing room. Hope he is ok.Anyone else going Gorillaz tomorrow night? I'm really looking forward to it.

Gorillaz, what can I say, brilliant show. Albarn is a genius and I very rarely use that word.
just in, what a gig! Melancholy Hill was epic. I agree about Albarn. I actually think as a person he's a bit of a cock but musically he's on a different level.
He bought me a pint once......Camden town 1994.......true story.
