Yep, exactly. We can't just keep expecting to win our home games though. That adds more pressure on us every time we don't pick up any points away. We're unbeaten in 6 home games (won 5 drew 1). Only our away record is killing us.

We are closer top 3 in the last two weeks, than other point in the last two months.
For example we were 10 points behind Notts County in 2nd place on December 9th. After we lost to Morecambe (let me add I was there...was worse performance than today.
And FGR are better team than Morecambe, they will easily avoid relegation.
What has changed for you today that you don’t think we will make top 3? Btw I still think we will and we are in a superb position to do so.
Why don’t you or anyone else get....we will lose games in this league. Everyone does. The champions of this league usually lose lots of games it’s the nature of the league.
What I don’t get is one week last week everyone was so positive and how can one performance change the thinking.
We just need a recap, after Jodie jones injury in November we would all have taken play offs. As that looked along shot in November. Never mind Automatic.
Btw I don’t buy your statement if we get to the play offs and fail through to get promoted it wouldn’t be failure. 80/90. % of fans would have taken play offs this yearbefore season began in the unknown. Considering Luton were always gonna storm it. Effectively only 2 automatic slots were up for grabs.
As it stands I think we will finish easily in play off but won’t be good enough for auto. We will finish 4th.
Imo we will do a Luton what they did last year. Finish fourth and not get through. But will be stronger next year. From the experience. Yes I will be hugely disappointed as will most fans.
So you think we are in a superb position to end up top 3.
Of course every season is different, but we need to look at the stats.

That shows how tough it is and we have already lost 10 games. Only Swindon out of the top sides have lost more than us (11). There's still 16 games to go.
Like I say, we need to improve. We average on losing every 3rd game. That continues we will lose another 5 games, totalling 15 for the season. Only once in the last 12 years has any team gone up automatically losing 15 games.
Of course, like I say, every season is different.
The top 3 at the moment have lost 6, 7 and 6 games. Mansfield have lost just 1 in 16.
As it stands we are not well equipped for a top 3 place.
It needs a definite improvement.
What has changed for me? Every time we have a home win I always thought, right that's it, next week we will win or draw away and it will be the start of the run, but we keep getting beaten. 2 steps forwards , 2 steps back.
And of course we have closed the gap on Notts County. They have been on a poor run.
When is the last time we scored from a corner? So when we have corners and set pieces around the penalty area is biamou working defenders with his movement and powering goals in.
Would certainly help if rivals kept knocking points off each other.
Besides Luton, Mansfield concern me the most.
When is the last time we scored from a corner?
I used to remember the Breen knock on at the front post with Dion banging it in!Just once Grimmer vs Grimsby.
Also when was the last time we scored in injury time...not once
Have we been in the top three at all this season? Apart from right at the start? So I think our performances and ability are reflected in our current position. It looks like we will be fighting for a play off place. Hope I’m wrong and we improve and achieve autos.

If only it WAS one loss and the sky is falling.Heh. One loss after all the buzz of the last few weeks and the sky is falling. (TBF, it did feel like it at times yesterday but that was more to do with the amount of rain.)
Maybe I’ve seen Cov too many times but I was concerned about how confident so many fans were as, for me, this had banana skin all over it.
Come on people. We’re Cov. We never make things easy.
I’ll agree that we need to score more and that’s been our problem all season. We’re 7 goals down on what we should have scored I think. That said, our strikers are on better form than earlier in the season so I’m confident enough for the run in.
That we’re in 8th, 4 points off 10th place and 4 points off automatic promotion is OK for me based on how I thought this season might pan out. 6 points out of every 9 should see us through.
Never had that feeling before until the last couple of away defeats.I've a horrible feeling we will fuck it up

I'm praying to the rain and sun gods every night and offering my wife up as a blood sacrifice. If this season goes tits up the post-mortem will deduce the following
Biamou should have been replaced for a real striker in the transfer window
Robins taking lesser clubs for granted and getting bitten and not working a decent formation
The FA cup a distraction
Goal keeping errors
Injury to essential players
We all know it , if we don’t go up you can wave goodbye to the decent players like McNulty
Let’s get out of this league please
Luckily, I am none of the above. The team are no more inconsistent than the fans:
We are great
No we are shit
Should have played that player because we lost
We should play 442 because we lost
We were 4th last week now we are 8th we have become shit.
Let's sign a player who hasn't kicked a ball all season - because he played for us before and is dead keen to join us (because he is injured and the lucrative contract he left us for has been cancelled)...yes I bet he wants us to pay his wages.
There is, but we have to turn our away form round. That is a given.Plenty of football left in this season yet.

Yeah, 5 points behind doesn't appear that bad when you just look at it in isolation, but after Tuesday we were just 1 point behind behind 3rd and 2 points behind 2nd and now we are 5 points behind 2nd and 4 points behind 3rd.Plenty of football left in this season yet - 5 points behind 2nd place with 16 games left. At this stage it doesn't matter that we are 8th.
Forest Green brought 10 players in, in the January window. Didn't do them any harm yesterday. And that's is why he brought players in in January, to give more options. But it will take 3 or 4 games for things to come together. We are still in touch that is the main thing. Easter and afterwards is where teams cement promotion.
Stoke was from a corner
If that was the case then why persist with Doyle at 75% and strapped up?Luckily, I am none of the above.
Definitely some who overreact.
I don't do away games, but so many have been saying we should set oursevles up differently away from home and it's too cautious, but I do think we shouldn't just dismiss the manager's choices and selections out of hand, because we don't see what is going on, on the training ground and on many occasions are probably not aware of players with niggling little injuries or knocks. Don't think we can just say Robins was wrong not to play Shipley yesterday for instance, because it could be that he just wasn't quite 100% fit and he had definitely been suffering with tiredness and lethargy lately.
Because he is captain? If that was the case then why persist with Doyle at 75% and strapped up?

Just shows how a single defeat changes things and the problem yesterday was that this was Forest Green, who in 13 games against top 6 sides have only won twice.
Both against us.
An improvement is clearly needed.
Cambridge last weekJust once Grimmer vs Grimsby.
