Some very fair points there, Sid.
If we come back to the Ricoh for Preston still in the top 6 and remaining on our unbeaten run, it will be interesting to see what the attendance will be for that match.
it will definitely be more than 11k if that was the case then.
I sincerely hope so. And hopefully not just because Preston might bring a lot more than Yeovil either.
You got it.
When SISU took over a 20k attendance was nothing unusual. They didn't deliver. They got most things wrong. We are at our lowest point for about 50 years under them. Yet we still bring in crowds the same as about 25 years ago when we were top flight playing top sides.
They have not delivered. Yet some seem to think that they should receive.

I was one of the missing 16,000. Why ? Living 36 miles away, being an OAP in his 70's,
be buggered if I'm going to get caught up in the ticket chaos and wait up to 90 minutes with the chance of getting a ticket. Sort it out and I'll be back pronto. I bet there were a couple of thousand or so with the same thought as me.
We are truly going, round and round in circles and people are missing the point.
Huge anticipation of our coming home. Euphoria, excitement, national press coverage. Massive clamour for tickets, many not being able to obtain tickets. Team on an unbeaten run. Complete and total feel good factor around the city and amongst City fans.
When did we have that in 2012-13 may I ask? :thinking about:
1. Some people couldn't afford it, fine.
2. Some people couldn't make it, fine.
3. Some people tried to get tickets and couldn't, fine.
Nobody missing the point some people just making a big deal out of only 11,000 turning up?
S what didn't help themselves though did they.
Sold 500 tickets on the Thursday didn't matter how many were in the queue would have sold no more????
People need to get over it Now they are back people will go back to supporting them the way they always have.....
And so therefore we will continue on the slippery slope of financial woes. We can't afford to stay at the Ricoh on crowds of 11,000.
Why can't we afford to stay at the Ricoh, if the rent is somewhere near, or even slightly higher than the average for L1, and crowds are amongst the highest in L1, then I don't see the problem. I can't see us getting anything else more affordable.
Well obviously haven't seen the latest figures for the agreement this season, but I'm sure previously the break even figure was around 11,000.
Be interested to know what it is now, but we surely cannot survive on crowds of under 11,000 and if we start on a poor run the attendances will surely drop below that.
If the rent were £10k a match, so an annual figure of £230k which I think would be a decent enough estimate then, the break even figure to cover the rent would be around 1,000 fans.
How much of a guess is that? We can cover the rent from just 1,000 fans?

11000 for a third division match is good and well above the average, 11000 for a team who has yet to finish above half way in any league for years and has consistently sold it's best players is brilliant, if gates are to increase it will e through efforts on the pitch nothing else
No point keep labouring on about it I feel. Let's just move on and see what the Preston game brings in terms of numbers.
I would guess 11 on each side.
Otis would have a point then. A gate of 22 is poor for any football team.
