Obviously if the Commission find wrongdoing, whether SISU still own us or not by the time the decision is made, they will go seeking compensationGenie is out the bottle. The commission will investigate regardless now, we can’t withdraw the complaint.
Im struggling to see what wasps gain from us not being at the Ricoh. Lost rent, reduced sponsorship and sub let’s.
They have lost control of events now and other than spite what do they gain from this?
Probably missing something.
I don't think the two parties on either side of the sale can be separated. Wasps WOULD have to pay the shortfall if a court ordered them to.My only sticking point is surely the complaint against the council will inevitably affect Wasps. So technically it’s not completely separate.
“So yeah we’ve moved the goalposts m8”
Is all Wasps need to say.
They've most definitely moved the goalposts. Also though we're being blackmailed with something that we now have no control over.My only sticking point is surely the complaint against the council will inevitably affect Wasps. So technically it’s not completely separate.

But it’s quite literally their ball and they can do what they want with it. Am I missing something?
Legally not connected. But is connected. Why would they stay around the table with us? Anyone?
The understanding is/was that Wasps wanted the legal action off the table because the costs involved in appointing representatives and the like and the knock-on effect this had on cash flow. This complaint puts paid to any of that in the short-term. The fact they are now not proceeding with talks based on this suggests there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to the stadium sale.
It's all about social climbing.
Duggins hobnobbing with posh rugger twats gets him up the ladder further than sitting on the terrace watching City, I'm sure he knows which side his bread is buttered.(allegedly ;o)
It was in the paper a rugby club owner is involved with the consortium.Somebody from the council must be involved with both the wasps move to the Ricoh and the consortium bid.

Then it's wasps issue with the council isn't it?This may have been posted already but what are the implications for Wasps if the EC investigate the complaint, find there has been wrongdoing by CCC. What happens next? Do they have the authority to force Wasps to pay more or would it be CCC alone who are liable for any damages?
Yes...but what powers do the EC have? Essentially, are Wasps liable for any fines/repayments etc? If not, they can continue to negotiate with CCFC. Overly simplistic, possibility but does anybody know how this could play out? Then it's wasps issue with the council isn't it?

"Last Friday in our update to fans, we spoke of ‘hurdles’ and this is one of those hurdles that we alluded to"Before Sisu entered talks why did they not say "By the way we raised the matter with the EC" no they didn't because they knew darn well it would have killed any talks stone dead. This is the way they work.Everyone keeps on about Wasps or the Council did this or did that. I think most times they react to Sisu.I know both of them can be B-----ds at times but sometimes you have use tactics the opposition use.As for this latest situation i feel we will be out of the City for many years unless by some chance Sisu sell up. I also think instead of people on here criticising the Trust at ever turn they should try standing to to get elected or even set up their own forum see how they get shot at at every turn,"covmark" as for the Council being supportive who put up the money to build the stadium when we couldn't afford to if it wasn't for that there would be no club now

So their issue is then with the council and not ccfc? Will they stop dealing with the council then?Yes...but what powers do the EC have? Essentially, are Wasps liable for any fines/repayments etc? No he didn't"Last Friday in our update to fans, we spoke of ‘hurdles’ and this is one of those hurdles that we alluded to"
London Wasps were made aware of it. Did you not read the statement before having a rant?
So you think the council have been supportive of the club? Before Sisu entered talks why did they not say "By the way we raised the matter with the EC" no they didn't because they knew darn well it would have killed any talks stone dead. This is the way they work.Everyone keeps on about Wasps or the Council did this or did that. I’m asking a question. If you don’t know the answer, just say. I have no idea what the implications for Wasps are. I’m trying to understand why Wasps can’t continue their negotiations with CCFC.So their issue is then with the council and not ccfc? Will they stop dealing with the council then?
So they could overrule the Supreme Court judgement and trigger the JR?The EC have powers to instruct the British government to look at this again. They write the State Aid Rules

If you read some of the posts from OSB then the season in Northampton cost millions which Sisu had to cover, no doubt helped by player sales. I would imagine that Wasps are not blind to this and see it as their way of distressing Sisu in a way that Sisu are intent on distressing them with legal action. Neither obviously care about CCFC. The club are simply a pawn that both sides are using to get at the other.Genie is out the bottle. The commission will investigate regardless now, we can’t withdraw the complaint.

There is no reason wasps can't continue because of on the off chance they have to pay anything. It will the fault of them and the council.
I'm up for this, can i also hoy bags of shit at them.Jumping ahead a bit but If we are out of the city when City of Culture civic events happen, we need to turn up en masse in Sky blue (flares, klaxons, whatever - all legal of course!) and sabotage their self congratulatory back slapping in front of the press. Not give them a minute's peace !
I thought you were joking. What has to actually happen before the Trust will condemn Wasps and the council?Posted above and on telegraph site.
"In mid-April, SISU signed an undertaking to irrevocably cease all proceedings against Wasps"
That is key so I expect it to be ignored
Pretty much sums it up.So basically wasps refuse to negotiate to protect, and stand up for their council friends.
