Having not really bothered with the Olympics for quite some time I’m gonna make a concerted effort to watch them this time.
I surprised myself by really enjoying the Rugby 7s. I’m not a Rugby at all but it was great. Not least because it’s over really quickly!
Im not getting on with the horse events.
Rugby 7s is fun. The horse stuff is perplexing

Was watching the female Archery final earlier between China and South Korea.

Korea won in their version of a penalty shoot out to win the gold medal again as they have for the last 5 Olympics.

It was a good watch.

Just seen Peaty get a silver as well. Missed out on gold by two tenths of a second.

Tennis, football and rugby shouldn’t be there either. They’ve got their own things.

Give me the upside down climbing slalom kayak or whatever.

Wouldn't normally consider watching basketball but really enjoyed Puerto Rico vs Serbia women's match just now.

I’ve watched three hockey games, the VAR has got every decision spot on, it’s quick and decisive. Football could learn a lot from this
It's been in top level hockey for a long time mind, but I agree with your comment. It's really well used. The referral system too is excellent.

Have loved watching the hockey. Poor result for the GB women today, Men's GB managed to salvage a point in the dying minutes though.

Same as - Really please for S Korea.
I'll root for anyone up against China or N Korea.

Really getting into it. Never thought I would be interested in something like Show Jumping but if you watch it long enough it starts to become addictive.
I really like it but must be age, didn't feel difficult at all to me,or maybe I'm confusing it with that show on Sunday afternoons?

What a ride and the back and forth in the last lap was brilliant. Great move from Pidcock to get in front before the end!

Yeah, just pure will to win. Some of the French fans didn’t like it but was probably his final chance to make a move. Missed most of the race but heard he was 40 second behind, managed to catch the last few mins though, amazing stuff

Did I hear was going to take part in the tourdefrance but didn't and that's how he found the reserves?

It looked like a controversial move as they touched wheels but it was legal. I'm sure I heard a couple of boos during the medal ceremony but he won't be bothered.

Yes, he had a puncture on the 3rd lap and when he got in to get his wheel changed, his bike mechanic wasn't ready! Makes his win all the more remarkable really.

Yeah, he had Covid. I guess he saved a tank load of energy from not competing. Probably worked in his favour.

He's taking part in the road race at the weekend as well. Needs a good recovery over the next couple of days.

Was watching Olympics & skateboarding came on, sorry I don't get that as a sport and there were 2 finalists in their 30s!

Just heard Peatys been diagnosed as having covid. Recall in his interview after the race he said he’d woke up with a bit of a sore throat but no excuses. Gutted for him but what a performance to still come so close though. Hope he can still compete in the relays

Great swim tonight in the 4 x 200m freestyle with the GB team retaining their gold medal from Tokyo. Amazing.

And Andy Murray and Dan Evans winning their match to qualify for the doubles QF, after saving another 2 match points.

Brilliant!

The U.S. women’s gymnastics team is truly incredible. Simone biles and suni Lee in particular

To be fair all of the gymnastics is just insane but the mad shit the women do on the vaults, floor, and that beam is just wild

It looked like the French guy was catching Yee and he was going to have to settle for a bronze & in a flash he was past the Kiwi for gold
