Are you? You haven't suggested anyone yet.
No one is going to buy the club from SISU for the foreseeable future. They aren't selling, they still think they can recover their investors money, and I can't imagine anyone would trust them enough to do a deal with them. This is a long term shit storm, and a happy ending (not that sort), is not guaranteed.
So don't you think the constant 'Sisu out' dogma is a bit pointless then?
Is this what Stockholm Syndrome looks like?
You could've asked the same thing before Sisu bought us. No-one knows who is out there, but absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence.
Im a big fan of all things SISU out and all that. But the problem with SISU out is who is there that would come in?
and could it put our club into more chaos if SISU did get out??
Until it is up for sale, or at the very least the owners make it known they are wanting a way out and will consider reasonable offers, very few people are going to go on record as interested, or even look in our direction.
The Sisu out mantra can focus the mind of Sisu to show them that they either need to plan their exit or listen to the fans. If they changed their direction and mended bridges instead of burning them redemption is possible. The choice is theirs, and the protesting of the fans of the club is a reminder that what they choose will have consequences.
Simply saying that we should let them do what they want as we have no power is not something many want to hear, It may be true, but too early to tell. People need to feel that they are doing something, they need to see things happening, they need hope, without hope we are dead. Sisu out is hope.
that American could have bought the interest of CCFC off SISU quite easily had he been so inclined. Lets just say 30m and SISU would have left in a hurry. He then could have walked in on the Ricoh (pretty much clear at the time it was backed by the council and ACL) for the valuation and hey presto for some 40m he had the lot! But he didn't did he?
No and that shows exactly why SISU will not be able to build a stadium and sell us recouping their investment, no one pays that sort of money for a league one club, Not to mention the fact you'd have to be mentally unstable to have given SISU 30m for something worth a few million at absolute best.
I don't think for a second we'd struggle to get a buyer if the club were up for sale for what it's currently worth because it's very easy to increase the value of the club at the moment. The amount of income from sponsors, corporate hospitality, ticket sales and merchandising sales could all be increased 5 fold simply by agreeing a cheap rent deal and moving to Coventry, ACL would likely be available at a good rate too an owner who looked like they had the best interests of the club at heart, which are current owners clearly do not.
5 fold? And 'ACL would likely be available at a good rate too an owner who looked like they had the best interests of the club at heart'? ACL are a business, why on earth would they lower their price just because they thought somebody had the best interests of the club at heart? That makes no sense.
Simple buy Higgs share of ACL then buy CCC share of ACL hey presto you now own ACL its not rocket science is it? Or is it?
Noggin was saying that ACL would lower their price if the potential buyer had the interests of the club at heart. I was asking why they (ACL) would do that. I also believe CCC have a veto on potential purchasers of Higgs share but I may be wrong. It's not rocket science, no, but it's not simple either. Imo.
Fair answer. Though I'd be surprised if
they didn't already know they weren't flavour of the month. My concern is that Shmeee's 'they will buy it' people would offer such a derisory amount (and who could blame them?) that Sisu would just go 'bollocks, fuck 'em, let's liquidate'. I know there are a lot of people on this site who are chomping at the bit for a 'phoenix club' but I'm not one of them. When the club's gone that's me finished.
You can tell a sisu supporter a mile off they always like to use the liquidation threat !!!!
Liquidation is not an option because it would render the most valuable asset, the golden share worthless .....

the 30m I mentioned was just a an example knowing that's the figure SISU have more than likely invested overall since coming here.
The rest is paper debt. The theory is just to show that buy one at the inflatable value so you can get the other (Ricoh) at low value but overall you have a deal.
35 - 40m to include the Ricoh and a big city club ripe for investment of playing staff and promotion's to the premier league? hell yeah! I think Southampton have proven that. If the will was there that American with the Hoff banker behind him should surely have seen that possibility yet for some reason they fell away. So yes the whole thing is a bit of rocket science and I'd love to have the inside knowledge as all of us would. That's why after the JR is over one way or another the truth will emerge... SISU will have some explaining to do.
The majority would say no 2nd chances, but at the moment, as unfortunate for us as it is we are stuck with them and their decision is fcuked up and final! And some people want to give them another chance?:thinking about:
To be fair John some of the harshest critics of Sisu have also peddled out the liquidation threat, particularly in relation to the prospect of them ever owning the Ricoh.
I agree though I cant see them doing it, as to make there money back they need to sell the whole package....I just wish it was soon, they had gone and we were back home.

Im not sure if you are serious but other people have said this to me. Does it mean SISU can do what they like and you will follow. And following the logic of that statement Andy Thorn and Ken Dulieu should be sitting on the bench alongside an inured David Bell.IMHO better the devil you know!!!!!!!!!!
Well yes, surely the FL had the power to say to the club that they needed to remain in the city, or at least within say 15 miles of the city.
Why on earth they would let the owners take us 34 miles away just beggaars belief. Another ridiculous decision in this whole ridiculous sorry saga.
Which is why we should keep up every and any sort of protest or statement.
We need to be seen at every away game and on the hill at Sixfields.
I wish I could, I really do, but for me the whole problem is the club has been moved 34 miles away and I refused to travel those 34 miles! Therefore for me to go 34 miles to protest I won't travel 34 miles seems rather hypocritical at best.
I know there are a lot of people on this site who are chomping at the bit for a 'phoenix club' but I'm not one of them. When the club's gone that's me finished.
So I'm a Sisu supporter?
You're a fucking idiot.
