Shaqiri disappointing. Wants to come inside and take extra touch on all occasions.

The red card was given on the basis that it was inside the box, so clearly an error by the ref (based on the double jeopardy rule) ironically he got it right by mistake. incidentally, if he'd got it wrong the other way round and only given him a yellow, is he then allowed to change it to a red, when VAR determines it is outside the box?

That game did a great job in sedating me and calming my nerves.

They're back again with a vengeance now though!

Red card awarded due to player pushing him in the back and not making a genuine attempt for the ball.

That's the sort of misplaced arrogance that saw Iceland beat us. Stop it.
Have to say I was very impressed with Sweden at the back in terms of getting numbers in and around the ball and clearing and blocking etc.

They play like that again they may be hard to break down.

IF we beat Colombia.

I’m off to Ashton Gate to watch it on the big screen. If we owned our stadium this is the sort of thing we could do

I’d rather potentially face them in the quarters than Brazil though! ; )
I'm not fussed.

I always said I would be happy as a long as we face a team in yellow and luckily enough both Brazil and Sweden play in yellow.

Much of a muchness to be honest.

I've still been trying to get my head around how many South Americans have made it to Russia on an economic basis.
30 percent of Columbians are considered middle class the average wage is about 690dollars a month.
A wage of beteeen 10-50 dollars a day is considered middle class in SA .
So at best middle class Columbians earn up to $1500 per month.
I can only conclude there has been some level of subsidy to Countries from SA, be that through Russia offering incentives to compensate for the dearth of Europeans or CONMEBOL have had an input .
Not a bad Acronym that ,bunch of con merchants.

I was reading about Peruvian fans and they were saying that many packed in their jobs, sold their cars, or took out loans to come over.

Going to go back to a bit of a headache I think.

Feels more like it. Just couldn't get too interested in the Belgium game. No real pressure on it, felt weird. This feels a bit more like I expect to feel before an England tournament game.

Caudrado is the one to watch, look out Young!
Quintero's the one I'd worry about.

I'd have played Rose ahead of Young, but other than that it'd be about the side I'd have picked... from the squad we have, anyway.

Which one is he, I'm on about the right midfielder but could be confused on the name ?
Nah, you've got the right winger. Quintero floats about a bit. Guess he's an attacking midfielder really.

Was confident seeing Rodrigue out, but now looking at the Colombian side again, I'm worried again!

Good job they're not hiring me to give our team confidence...

Gah, ITV and their inappropriate advertising scheduling!

What I really want is a gambling advert or two before kickoff.

Had a little bet on Sterling to score 2.

Forget everything else, this is Sterling's chance to prove Earlsdon_Skyblue1 wrong.
