People who decide they want a 4 course meal at the cinema. It's an hour and a half, fucking animals chomping popcorn, nachos all the way through. Could barely hear the film.

I actually go a cinema that embraces it...... you can order good food & beer delivered to your couch.....top class!

Or a tip! Modern-speak, ADM - it does my head in too! There are perfectly good ways of expressing the same thing already, so we don't need to invent new ones. The one that gets me is "drop". Such-and-such a piece of information is about to "drop" today, the middle-aged presenters on 5Live announce. No! It will be released, announced or launched.
Giving someone the " heads up " was bad enough at the time but I've kind of got used to it now. I'm just a dinosaur !

Once had to 'please wait for an assistant' after scanning every single item at Morrisons.

What amazed me was the young student-type kept waiting behind me seemed to accept it as the 'new normal'?

It’s a real pleasure to sit outside and have a beer in a cafe but ffs the French are all smoking or vaping - it’s impossible to enjoy a pint in the sun - certainly seems to be no let up here in habits - dirty Feckers

N again. Basically we can't ever celebrate the men's team achieving anything without considering if a pub league level may have "acheived" it before.

Oh they can fuck off. Obviously talking about the men’s game aren’t they, with a picture of Gareth Southgate ffs.

People done jump on tweets about women’s football and do the same thing. Pisses me off

It’s like when they talk about goal records and they have someone who’s scored 82 in a season like it’s 1912 or something.

Gonna spend the whole Olympic going “the women’s gold”

I find tennis is pretty much the only womens sport I have interest in watching. Its a good watch in its own right and doesn't seem to need to piggy back on the mens game in at attempt to gain viewership, or constantly produce cringey graphics that combine records for no reason, or have a completely obnoxious audience.

No issues at all with women’s sport but really take exception with the BBC for pushing women’s rugby , cricket and football as “mainstream “. We all know that’s all they can afford so need to get their viewing numbers up.

I may be easily confused due to my advancing years, but it annoys me on the BBC sport website when they have a headline about a T20 match against the Kiwis, and it has the subtitle "Cricket". "Hold on a mo", says i, "I thought we were playing the Windies". Turns out it's "Women's Cricket".

Women's tennis can very much hold its own, but the demands for equal pay and prize money, when they only have to play a maximum of three sets, gets on my nerves. That said, I think tennis could be the sole example where the audiences and advertising revenue could be close to parity with the men's game (other than beach volleyball, but i think there may be other reasons behind the audience figures there).
Women's soccer in the USA, maybe, but we're still talking a fairly marginal sport (e.g. compared to high school gridiron).

I'm delighted that women's football has come back to the fore after basically being held back but they're two different worlds in the same sport. If someone talks about Mbappe becoming the all-time top scorer in a World Cup or something every sensible person understands what that means and doesn't need it clarified as the men's game. If someone then pipes up to say actually a woman has scored more already they're either trying too hard to be right-on or are trying to get a girl to touch their winky.

Oh yeah the blokes who are clearly trying to impress a woman are even worse.

Everyone accepts it’s the given level of the game. We don’t count Terry Goals scoring 70 in Sunday League in the Balon d’or nominations. Or little Timmy scoring after 15 seconds in the U7s game.

The whole Scouse not English thing. Absolutely pathetic as the majority of the country has been neglected at some point due to industry declining.

Also, enjoy being enlisted from your "Repulblic" if a major war breaks out 😘
