Things you remember from back in the day? (1 Viewer)

I was talking to a mate in the pub about random things that we had when we were younger.

A couple of good random ones were:

Lucky Charms Cereal
Barcode Battler
Pogs
Those Roller Skates that went over your shoes
A couple of YoYo Phases
Those little furry snake things with wire that you ran between your fingers to pretend they were real

Can anybody think of some other decent ones?

Time to revive a post from 10 years ago. Not many of those posters still around ...

Things I remember that I don't think exist any more:
Sweet shops with the loose sweets in big glass jars.
Homebrew shops that sold supplies to make your own wine.
Photo shops that sold film and developer.
Joke shops that sold stink bombs and fake poo.
Woolworths.
That yellow powder they sold in Woolies that you dissolved in water to make lemonade.
Owen Owen.
Zubes - they were cough drops that came in a metal tin.
Liquorice pipes - haven't seen them in ages.
Caludon Castle school being just boys.
The 'Pink'
45's (records)

That's a very comprehensive list and nice Observations Ranjit.
Was your Grandads tobacco St Ogdens by any chance?
Your memories tie into my era.
As abominable as smoking is /was, the residual smell of dad's pipe smoking in his old Ford Zephyr was comforting in some way for the year my brother owned it after he passed.

Cheers Wingy, sorry can't remember the brand but it might have been Players. It was in a small rectangular shaped packet with the flake tobacco compressed inside and each flake was then rubbed between the palms in a circular motion before packing it into the pipe.
He didn't smoke it in the car but from the Sky Blue stand, Dad and I could just about see the cloud of smoke from his seat in the Main Stand, a bit like new Pope time at the Vatican.
I'm now an old goat of 56 so possibly similar era to you? Certainly remember the Zephyr 4 and 6 models and also the Zodiac.
