No it isn't.No that’s rubbish
Colchester, Mansfield and then Lincoln, it isn’t inconceivable that we could lose all 3...
7 pts return needed, 3 more likely.
As for Brighton, play anything like yesterday next week and it could be 3/4-0.
The fact that this may be happening isn’t the issue for me. We all know how often a promising season has collapsed in ruins. It is the fact that some people think that getting rid of Robins will rectify things. At some stage this club has got to give a manager time to properly turn things around. Robins seems to me better than most managers of the last ten years. Give him the chance to do it.I think the underlying thought for many is that we know what’s coming and as Otis rightly pointed out, there is a very real fear that we could slide and never be seen again....
Given that consistent decline that isn’t an unrealistic possibility.....I think most of us have been more than patient for a long time and some of you need to be less accepting by the looks.
For me the last two games haven’t just been a blip but the start of our annual slide....it’s more about the nature of how we have performed that justifies my comments....

How is Blackburn's form, is it experiencing the Mowbray post Xmas downturn syndrome? It very clearly was though. Abundantly clear that Mowbray wasn't going to turn it around and he even said so himself. He said he couldn't turn it round.
Not with these owners.Perhaps the real delusion is with the fans who think we should be getting automatic promotion?
Yep, it's a pattern.Good managers show flexibility and an ability to adapt to what's happening before them. Time and again, MR is static and persists with what clearly doesn't work. Same as Mowbray, same as Pressley.
Yep, it's a pattern.
Going back to Big Tone, when it worked well it worked beautifully well, but as soon as it went wrong he just couldn't change anything to change our fortunes and kept flogging away with what was then a failed formula.
It's clear to all the City fans that we don't create enough. Go a goal up and we're fine. Go a goal down and it's usually certain defeat.
The big problem yesterday was that Bayliss was clearly not 100% and he is the one player with some creativity about him. With him off his game we were never ever going to create anything.
As I say, when it is going well it usually stays that way under Mowbray. When things start going wrong he struggles to halt the slide. How is Blackburn's form, is it experiencing the Mowbray post Xmas downturn syndrome?
Thing is, Nick, if Robins had rested Bayliss and put Shipley in the centre he would have got hammered for it on here.I don't get why he played players with a virus. It was pretty much a mirror performance as against FGR anyway when nobody had a virus.
He can't push for promotion hoping that Bayliss pulls something out of the bag or McNulty scores from outside the box, there needs to be some sort of gameplan every game we go into.

We still wouldn't have had the creativity and Robins would have been heavily criticised for it.
Yes, but I am talking about the mentality of football fans. There's a difference between being hammered for putting him out wide when fit to replace him with somebody struggling and negative and playing him when he is ill though isn't there?
Yes, but I am talking about the mentality of football fans.
There were loads by me moaning like hell when Robins took McNulty off. They must live in a no news, blinkered bubble.
Even if Robins had said Bayliss was ill and had played Shipley, he would have got slaughtered for that decision.
Never thought I would hear myself say this, but yeah, I agree.Has to play Reid against Colchester and going forward.
Then he needs to grow some.Yes, but I am talking about the mentality of football fans.

Yep, it was only after the game, but we all knew before the game that a virus had gone round the camp.Didn't Robins only say after the game McNulty was one of those ill? Not too sure what the point is in playing a 5 foot 8 or 9 striker and just hammering it forward at every chance, may as well have just not played him.
If the players were out all week and clearly not up to it thats where a manager see's who is fit and comes up with a plan. If we were going to hoof it forward all game as we did than JCH would have probably been a better option and leave McNulty out.
So over reliance on Bayliss and McNulty. You can see it, I can see it, all fans can see it and anybody would be mad to think Robins can't see it. But he has the same problem Mowbray had and all managers have at this level - bringing in quality to help average players and inexperienced players. You are gambling on the experienced having an Indian Summer I.e Cole and Hunt or inexperience coming good (see this January signings).
If that's the prevailing mentality then I might just retire permanently to my garden and fishing.Yes, but I am talking about the mentality of football fans.

I was wondering why he’d gone off the boil-have you got a shed down the bottom of your garden?:emoji_thinking:Then he needs to grow some.
I'd much rather he'd drop Bayliss when shoeing in Kelly than put him wide let alone ill.
At least he would be showing true colours rather than fudging it .
In truth It's Important to recognise Bayliss is not a god will tire and need a break here and there, although I do love the kid and he will be special.
A club of what size?I personally think this season has been awful. The football has been awful, some of the signings have been awful and some of Robins decisions have me scratching my head at times.
This isn’t acceptable that a club this size is not only in the 4th division but we pathetically sit 9th in this dog of a league.
It’s not good enough.
We are a huge club in this league in fact I’d say we are probably one of the biggest clubs this league has had.A club of what size?
We've got the 3rd or 4th best average attendance in the said "shit league"! We're not exactly a MASSIVE club. Rich history granted, but we play games in somebody else's grounds in front of crowds of 7k. How are we too big for this league??

It’s a disgrace us being here.
