Why do threads descend into this kind of bollocks, thought it was about Fisher?

So you advocate abuse and violence? So you think that the way to protest is to threaten Fisher on his own at a railway station? So you think that NOPM is helping the club you support.?
I think putting in the hard yards in watching this club over the years entitles fans to protest but there has to be a better way than intimidation?
At what point did he actually say abuse and
violence was the way forward??
He's right, it is a natural reaction for Coventry city fans public enemy number 1.
I see SisuFCtalk is in full swing here

Halftimebovril, I see what you did there.... But read again, you will see I was asking his perspective and not accusing him. In fact I would now ask you the same question? Do you advocate abuse and violence? Do you think that NOPM is helping the club you support?
No offence taken.

It really isn't a slippery slope, as you are clearly trying to use it as a stick because I said it was OTT what happened with Fisher. You trying to act like you are bullied also says more about you and switching on the outrage days later.

You going on about playing the ball not the man but then constantly trying to take my legs away also says more.

It isn't double standards, if Grendel was on a train platform with others shouting in your face it would be exactly the same and out of order. I've put that into multiple posts.

Somebody posting on here Fisher is a wanker is different to a group of people getting aggressive in his face at a train station. The poster you are on about going on about abuse is somebody else who gives it out and then gets a bit back. Hence I said if it was Wingy / BBR / OSB it would be different as they don't give it out.... I give it out, I don't cry bullying when I get it back. That's the difference.

You are scraping the barrel because I disagreed with you about something.

You don't consider calling someone who isn't a racist a racist and pretending that they have proof that they are when they know they don't isn't abuse? The only thing we actually disagree on where this thread is concerned is that you think it's acceptable to label someone a racist when they aren't.

Slippery slope.

As do you, else you wouldn't say it doesn't bother you and it's funny before you decide to be bothered about it days later when it suits for you to try and use it against me. Therefore trying to take the man rather than the ball, which you are also moaning about.

If you were actually bothered by it when it happened and not just trying to use it as a stick against me then it would be dealt with if reported. The same reason I sent you a PM asking what had happened before I had read any of it, if you were that bothered you would reply to that.

Yes, the same as I don't cry bullying or act the victim when me and you have been giving each other shit back and forth and I get PM's telling me I'm mentally disabled / have learning difficulties. However if you had randomly sent them to OSB or somebody who clearly doesn't get involved with it for no reason you would as it's a bit different then.

Tony has also said he finds it funny and isn't bothered by it and it makes Grendel look bad.

Do you still not see where I'm coming from?

So if a victim of racial abuse laughs it off does that make racism OK? That might be an extreme example but the basic principle is the same. I might rise above it but that doesn't make it OK does it? And whether you like it or not you're in a position of responsibility to address that behaviour whether the receiver is offended or not. It's the fact you can't see that that staggers me. You'd rather brush it off as I had it coming or because I rise above it it doesn't count.

No, I am brushing it off because you are only using it to try and play the man and not the ball, which ironically you keep moaning about when you say how you are being bullied.

Your act was obvious from the start, even more so when you kept going on thinking I said Fisher was being bullied.

So it's acceptable then?

What for somebody to call somebody else on the internet racist with no proof or basis behind it at all? I'd say it was petty and stupid and makes that person look bad.

If the person it was said to had dealt with it days ago themselves and said they found it funny and the made the other person look silly I'd say that's dealt with. Especially when those 2 people constantly bicker. The same as in the Nazi / Brexit thread where every other comment is like it, nobody has had an issue they just bicker and bicker back and forth.

It's even worse because you are putting on an act to be outraged by it to prove a point.

If he was running a hate campaign trying to get you sacked from your job etc because you were racist then it's obviously different.

Strange how you still don't refer to my points about going for the ball not the man, which bothers you so much ;)

Well, as I managed to find myself starring in a chunk of this video, I thought it might be worth giving an update and correcting a few of the misconceptions in the thread so far.

But now it's descended into a fight about another thread and Nazis so not really much point.

There is of course a legitimate argument that someone who has voted UKIP and claims they are not racist is on a very slippery slope indeed....

Watched the video again today and the only person in it to come out with any credit is TF himself. I'm not a fan of his but he did show a lot of self control and a bit of dignity there; would have been easy to go into slanging match mode, as indeed several others there did. Otherwise it's cringeworthy to watch, but in fairness a lot of ale had been consumed by all concerned.

I get some credit too; I threw the wrapper from my cheese and pickle roll in a bin, chatted nicely to the lady next to me on the bench and abused no-one. I was about three yards from where the main scuffle took place (cowering behind the nice lady)

I think that anyone who labels anyone who's voted UKIP as a racist whether their vote was an endorsement of UKIP policy or a protest vote doesn't understand what a slippery slope is.

Especially when the person saying it has repeatedly demonstrated that their own political views are far more in line with UKIPs than the person who voted UKIP as a protest vote only and not an endorsement of policy. And the irony of the same person who's talked about anything and everything so to not have to outright condem neo nazis in America then accusing others of being on a slippery slope of racism.

Judging by your reaction before you wanted to try and use it as a stick against me it seems like it was? Judging by the fact you didn't bother to reply to me when I sent a pm asking what was up it showed me you weren't really bothered and are dealing with it yourself without the teacher. Until of course you wanted to use out to prove a point.

Nobody else has found it so bad they have reported it either?

If it was so serious and offensive to you then you wouldn't be using it to play your own silly game with because I disagreed with you about something.

If something is directed at somebody and actually offends it gets dealt with.

Still trying to play the man? Funny really as you are whinging about that until I pointed out your posts doing the same.

Grendel - you were there and I didn't 'spot you'. All those years doing those ' where's wally' books and I miss an open goal. #Truly gutted (not meant as an insult by the way; it's like discovering who Spiderman is!)

And your two posts to each other show exactly why it's bickering and most people gloss over it...

I genuinely have had him on ignore but I've looked back now at past threads and there are loads of posts trying to goad me into reacting.

I've resisted rather well I thought but just thought I'd take a look.

He's an idiot. Someone called me a racist (or not liking foreigners) on here - you just laugh it off - he insults all the time. His first attempt on here failed, he made some accusation I supported violence which is equally as insulting.

Back on ignore - bye bye Tony

I have just answered you. Get your head from the bottom of the barrel you are scraping and you will see.

You really didn't. Take me out the equation if it makes it easier for you. Is it acceptable behaviour? It's a yes or no answer.

No I don't advocate anything like that but it's easy to understand why things would get overheated. The man antagonises city fans every time he opens his mouth. It happened at Brentford when he supposedly walked into a pub with city fans drinking, what kind of reaction does he expect??????
No, I don't believe NOPM is working and I don't believe it ever will. They've already said the club is being sustained by its own revenue. In the eyes of JS he is probably doing a good job by showing a profit.

But you are in the equation, the context is in the equation, you two bickering is in the equation. The circumstance is in the equation. The same as when somebody like grendel gets abuse it gets dealt with different to if somebody starts abusing somebody like wingy (Sorry to use him as example again)

Thousands of people have read the thread and not reported it or commented on it until you tried to use it to prove a point.

If it was something so offensive and outrageous it would have been brought up.

Judging by that, should I get outraged by it and jumping into action? Even now it's only you going on about it, after you had tried to play the bullying card thinking I had said it about Fisher.

The fact you are using it to try and prove a point also shows how much of a big deal you think it is.

See Don and Mart's posts, they would have got further than shouting in his face. Just because they aren't answers people want to hear, they would have been able to put their questions to him properly.

If you are struggling to see the difference between shouting in their face or trying to talk to them properly and discuss it you should probably go and take your seat in knuckle dragger's corner. Nobody is saying speaking to him will make him pour his heart out and reveal all either.

Again, what has that actually achieved?

Who would have more chance of getting something out of Fisher when quizzing him, somebody like OSB / DazzleTommyDazzle / Duffer etc etc or a pissed up bloke shouting Wanker in his face to show off to his mates?
None of them
