Would be mental to start an 18 year old who signed this week over a player with 200+ games at this level under their belt.
Also he’s just been on pre-season tour in australia. Jetlag will also be a factorWould be mental to start an 18 year old who signed this week over a player with 200+ games at this level under their belt.
See what you are saying but we had agreed a deal with JCS which as we know didn’t happen although we have snapped up a couple of loans since id think most of the JCS wage will still be available.
Depends what’s in the loan agreement, I did find it strange was reported we put the best case forward…games!
Are you a pirateWatch it not even be Adaramola that signs.
Yeah tbf in his circumstance going from not playing at all, to playing some at a goodlevel is probably sufficient. We know the budget is tight, certainly until one or maybe two go out. So bringing anyone in that takes us over budget, even temporarily would have to be discussed and rattified regardless of their wage.
Adaramola seems a strange signing . 18 with no league experience at any level. Must be very highly thought of. Surely Palace would only send him here for games.
The right back? They say he's the next wan bissaka so take from that what you will
If he’s better than Bidwell it doesn’t matter how old he is or what experience he’s had. I’d expect Bidwell to start the season at LWB but I wouldn’t be surprised if Adaromola takes his place.
It's without reason isn't it. He might be the second coming, but I suspect not even Robins or Viera know that yet - hence a loan to the likes of us!Based on what?
Based on the rave reviews from Palace fans, he might brilliant he might be way off it. Maatsen was hardly experienced last season and I think most of us would of played him over Bidwell.Based on what?

Did I miss Maatsen being with us when he was 18?!?McCallum and Maatsen both had decent seasons with us as 18 olds so no issues with me about playing the Palace lad if it’s him as long as MR deems he is good enough.
Yes I agree Bidwell starts Sunday and probably for the first couple of months of the seasonMost our fans want players playing who arent in the side because they havent made mistakes. Hence the regular comment "Robins needs to make at least 4 substitutions at halftime" and he clearly didn't because we went on to win.The debate is why play and debute a 18 year old with no experience over a very experienced player who has done well in pre season? The answer is Robins won't. Bidwell will start unless he gets injured before Sunday.
What happened when he played in successive Swansea play off teams then and got double figures for assists playing as a wing back?

That's good to know although lets face it, until he actually plays mens' football, none of us really know how he'll adapt to it.Having watched him play extensively for our U18s, U23s and first team, it's pretty obvious he's a serious talent and there were probably discussions internally as to whether to keep him and have him play for our first team or send him out on loan as he's rated that highly.
He's our best first team prospect.
I'd say right now he's as good as any Premier League wingback going forward, extremely quick, great dribbler, good passer, great energy to get up and down and has the ability to pick people out with crosses.
His defending still needs some work. he lets crosses at times a bit too easily, needs to be better at defending the back post from crosses on the other side and his awareness needs to be better at tracking runners but having said that he was up against Salah for 10 minutes last week and completely neutralised him so hopefully he's improved in that regard.
If we were relegated last season I have no doubt he'd be starting for us in the Championship.
He's a good kid and will make watching Coventry a lot of fun, I'm sure there will be lots of Palace fans tuning in to see him play.
hope you’re right mate. seems like good contrast then, Tayo more attacking and Bidwell a bit more solid at the back.Having watched him play extensively for our U18s, U23s and first team, it's pretty obvious he's a serious talent and there were probably discussions internally as to whether to keep him and have him play for our first team or send him out on loan as he's rated that highly.

@SBT is going to love thisUltimately he's absolutely rapid, so it doesn't really matter if he's up against boys or men he will just run past them.
I've never seen anyone able to track his runs off the ball runs so providing your midfielders can pick him out he'll be away.
He was 18 once
He's already started against Stoke in the FA Cup last season and performed well and had minutes against Man U and Liverpool on the pre-season tour as well.
The only reason he might struggle is he's still only 18 and moving away from home might be difficult for him.
