Might be lined up for another loan move out, it's pointless him sitting on the bench at WalsallMakes sense bringing Cashman back with Taveres sidelined for a few months, might also signall Walker on his way out.
Maybe Cashman can be some kind of a loan makeweight in a transfer with a L1 . L2 or SPL club.Cashman recalled and in the u23's. Probably just as another option at the min. Desperate times
"We're not awash with money," added Robins, whose team have not won in four league games and lost in the FA Cup to National League side Wrexham.
"Anyone that thinks that this is what new ownership brings - it's a better situation than we've been in but we have to make sure we don't make any silly errors.
Mark Robins: Coventry City boss says club not panicking over squad depth
Coventry City manager Mark Robins says the club is not panicking despite the club's injury problems.www.bbc.co.uk
Loving the new era already
To be fair. Even if he was awashed with money. you don't go out and tell everyone.
Better news is that Robins is hinting at 2 being perms.Good news that we can now apparently bring in 3 more signings (CB, AM, CF) rather than the last two being an either or.
Porteous would be a good shout, but isn’t he going to Udinese/WatfordOk then, the title of this thread is “Transfer Shouts” so here is my totally made up and probably unrealistic list of players that I think would be in wage bracket and would probably like to play in the Champ at a mid level team before progressing. All probably earning less than 5k / week and wouldn’t be picked up to go straight to Prem starting line up - so Champ level.
Ryan Porteous - Hibs - CB - 23. Out of contract in 6 months and Blackburn have just bid “6 figures”. Just maybe.
Bojan Miovski - Aberdeen - CF - 22. Paper / agents talk of big interest from Rennes but who knows. Big striker back up for Vik.
Anis Mehmeti - Wycombe - AM - 22. Ideal cover for O’Hare. Give Wycombe Jamie Allen (who would do well for them) , Walker (ditto) and use the wage savings towards a bid of a couple of million.
All totally fanciful but I think the type of players MR is hinting he needs.
Plus. Our U21’s could do with a couple or three non-league cheap gamble additions. Allasani types - the odd one works out.
(Waits for usual suspects to criticise)
Only if we want to pay a higher transfer fee than we otherwise would.Maybe Cashman can be some kind of a loan makeweight in a transfer with a L1 . L2 or SPL club.
Same thing either way isnt itPorteous would be a good shout, but isn’t he going to Udinese/Watford
Pretty much that’s why I wrote it as I did. Dodgy set up thatSame thing either way isnt it
Imo needs investigating as it shouldnt be legal in the football world, as it gives them a significant advantage being easily able to transfer players between clubsPretty much that’s why I wrote it as I did. Dodgy set up that
Udinese have approached him on a pre-contract. Despite him being 'really shit'Porteous would be a good shout, but isn’t he going to Udinese/Watford
For Udinese/Watford... also read Olypiacos/Nottingham Forest.....Imo needs investigating as it shouldnt be legal in the football world, as it gives them a significant advantage being easily able to transfer players between clubs
Yes that too, I think any duel ownership does imoFor Udinese/Watford... also read Olypiacos/Nottingham Forest.....
You think a plan like that would have been foiled.Yes that too, I think any duel ownership does imo
Unless the dual ownership is Doug King / Mike Ashley where Doug is the frontman and other clubs don’t realise that we actually have a billionaire owner in the background when negotiating transfers.Yes that too, I think any duel ownership does imo
Can't remember which poster said, less than a month ago, that 'Doug is Mike's man', but that would be a devious & clever set up.Unless the dual ownership is Doug King / Mike Ashley where Doug is the frontman and other clubs don’t realise that we actually have a billionaire owner in the background when negotiating transfers.
That’d be fun.
Thats easy I’d put a couple of niggles on JCH early on to make him go missing and mark Vik all gameImagine being a centre half coming up against big Vik and JCH
One never looks up, the other can't stand up.Imagine being a centre half coming up against big Vik and JCH
I’m going to add Brighton striker Deniz Undav currently on loan abroad to that list, ticks a lot of boxes and our reported interest not denied.Ok then, the title of this thread is “Transfer Shouts” so here is my totally made up and probably unrealistic list of players that I think would be in wage bracket and would probably like to play in the Champ at a mid level team before progressing. Of course wrote the above while that smirking excuse of a PM was on the telly.Undav?
In a perfect world would like
RVB - Van Hecke from Brighton - Permanent
AM - Elliott Anderson from Newcastle - Loan/ Assal - Wimbledon - Permanent
Striker - Undav from Brighton - Loan
He has somewhere in Belgium I think but I read a bit back when his name was linked to us he is gettable, don’t know how true our so called interest is but he has a hell of a scoring record the last couple of years.Undavs gone abroad on loan
We were linked with him a couple of years ago.Random transfer shout - Dishon Bernard from Man U. 22 years old and not out on loan currently, also not getting near the United side. Could we get him on a permanent? Similar to a Sheaf or Vik sort of signing
