Yeah I knew Viera had gone but still thought it would be an issue

doesn’t suit our formation if he’s an out and out wide player but still think would be a good signing
I don't get why one 18 year old failing to settle in new surroundings would be an issue. I can't imagine Crystal Palace will have any issue with us about it.

Teemu pukki at the end of the season. Free transfer? Let’s face it, hes got 2 years left in him. Just an idea?
With his age do you think he will go anywhere better?
We all know vik is going and he’s not a like for like replacement but hes 33, few decent seasons in the prem and the champ, he’s had the key passes played into him, where o hare could help?
He knows the runs, he knows where the goal is!!
Let’s be honest he wants a last pay cheque

He could have stopped at Norwich but wants a fresh challenge I would imagine at his age he will be looking for European football even if in another country.

You reckon he could go looking for European football at his age? Let’s be honest he’s just gone past his prime, no?

He has but he could get it in other slightly slower leagues, don’t expect him to be rocking up at Newcastle.

Depends on what he wants paying, it won't be chicken feed and he doesn't seem to be overly clinical. His all round play is sharp tho from what I can remember....

I'd rather we took a few gambles on someone we could turn a profit on i.e. someone 25 or younger.

I always think Liam Delap on loan would be a good option but he seems to be one who has struggled to adapt to men’s football.

Weimann at Bristol City he still has a property in Knowle but he seems to be a streaky striker.

I get that completely, but he he ain’t a waghorn, he wouldn’t be a gamble. Since being in English football he has scored goals
I'll give you that in fairness, he'd also want way way more than Waggy. He's probably going to be wanting 30k + a week.

I personally like Weimann at Bristol, he has been lethal the last few seasons but again wrong side of 30

The Belgian league could be fruitful, a few of the boys from Burnley signed were from that div and look really good. Didn't cost the world either....

On that note, Twine has to be surplus at Burnley. Get the lad in, wand of a left foot and end product for days.

A few I’ve picked out having had a look through:

- Isaac Christie-Davies
- Josef Bursik
- Owen Otasowie
- Jack Hendry
- Ross Sykes

Of the above, Ross Sykes and Josef Bursik are most interesting. Both seem to be out of favour. Bursik is certainly a promising keeper, Sykes did well at Accrington last season and may be an adequate Fadz replacement.

I've tipped both Bursik & Sykes for us in the past.

Real shame things haven't quite worked out for Bursik, thought he'd go on to be a future England squad player. Signed by Scott Parker for Brugge in January then Parker got sacked & it seems the new manager isn't keen on him.
Still only 22 so plenty of time to get back on track, his next move will be a crucial one.

As he was mentioned a page back, Luis "Duk" Lopes at Aberdeen scored again yesterday against Ross County to maintain the Dons 3rd place in the Scottish Premier.

I like the look of this guy. I read an article about him recently where he admitted he's using Aberdeen as a stepping stone to the championship or prem. Would be a good summer signing regardless if Vic stays or goes.

I posted a link to the Aberdeen Evening Telegraph on the previous page. The Aberdeen manager is expecting a mass of transfer enquiries about him so the only things we would have issues with is would he want to come to Coventry or out to Europe and would we have the transfer finances ?

I always lean towards the manager over selling a player to try and drive up prices if they are certain he's going. So often players are touted to be going to a top club and end up going somewhere completely unexpected, that's where we step in. We are known for developing players and moving them on, a good proposition for a forward thinking player.

I'd like to prise Kipre away from WBA (who are likely to have financial issues). We need centre backs and he is a big powerful lad.

Edit: that's assuming we don't get promoted, in which case I want one of Baresi's offspring.
