Standard new PL team stuff wouldn’t it? Couple of top Championship players, couple of loans, couple of foreign gambles.
Bar Gyokeres, Hamer and Sheaf we'd need an entire new team really.
The income from the next couple (or 3 ) games might be a help in stretching the budget to tempt Gus / C O'H etc to put pen to paper. If not, it helps towards the squad next season, regardless.
Just madness having spent all that time and really enjoyed your take on what we need to get into the playoffs next season and here we are in the play offs think uh about what we might need for the premier leagueStandard new PL team stuff wouldn’t it? Wouldn't have thought he'd regret it. He'll be a cheap Premier League squad player with leadership abilities.Just madness having spent all that time and really enjoyed your take on what we need to get into the playoffs next season and here we are in the play offs think uh about what we might need for the premier league
Fadz has his contract
Eccles and sheaf the same
If we go up I wonder if robins would regret giving fadz a new contract
Have to say he was excellent again yesterday but is made better with McNally and Doyle improving as they have
And who’s to say he wouldn’t improve again as they all seem to year on yearWouldn't have thought he'd regret it. He'll be a cheap Premier League squad player with leadership abilities.

McNally is technically a PL player but as he's in this league rn, I'm picking him. He's priority no. 1 for me. Defence since Jan has been immense. After him, take a punt on Obafemi from Swansea if Burnley don't pick up their option. Reckon Robins and co. could turn him into something special. Bloke's pace is terrifying and we don't have that. Need it as an option whatever league we're in. Will Smallbone as the third. Ran the show for Stoke. It was like Chris Marsden all over again.
I was suggesting him on loanAnd? City rate him highly and for now he's part of their plans. If they were to sell him it would likely be for a massively inflated fee.
Agreed although Waghorn and Hilssner say helloWe’d need a whole new squad bar a handful of players, no place for sentiment. I think we’d still be savvy in the market and wouldn’t overpay on older players on massive wages like Forest and others have done.
Yes but a couple from Madrid and Barca would see us rightInteresting, only 2 domestic loans we’d be in for a shock
Josh Bowler from Forest - was at Blackpool on loan.

McCarthy didn’t play himHe has been pretty dire for Blackpool all year.
While I agree about not overspending on older players and massive wages, I think there's a lot to be said for squad camaraderie and so keeping some of those who will, at best, be bit part players but are popular within the group would be a productive thing to do. In the grand scheme of PL wages they're not likely to take up much of the budget. Especially when you consider a player such as Lingard is rumoured to be getting millions in signing on fees and £200k pw but doesn't look arsed. We’d need a whole new squad bar a handful of players, no place for sentiment. We'd need to sign half a dozen good quality players alongside the ones we've got to be competitive, along with a similar amount of good up and coming players from the Championship to hopefully develop or, if necessary, give us a good squad with which to fit for promotion again.
The premier wages wise is a whole different ball game £20k a week that’s a million a year is what the best under 21s are on. Wage bill for 25 player first team squads are well over £50 million a year.
No idea how feasible this is, but that’s why I’d be focusing on top end Championship talent and selling it as a season opportunity to test yourself and put yourself in the shop window. Low wages, relegation release clause, don’t go in competing with the established clubs.
Robins doesn’t ever do that!!As much as he isn't quick you'd still keep McFadz if we got promoted in the starting 11 to begin with at least, you simply cannot just remove such an influential player. He also deserves his chance.
No one respects McFadz more than me not even sure he would be first choice if we remain in the championship, but if in the premier no chance up against the likes of Haaland, Salah, Rashford plus others, one golden rule in football, no sentiment he’d be exploited in minutes by world class players. We won’t, but transfer fees for as you say for top end championship players won’t be chicken feed, haven’t Brighton just been linked with a £30million bid for Swansea‘s Piroe, and our own Vik being touted at £20/25 million too.No idea how feasible this is, but that’s why I’d be focusing on top end Championship talent and selling it as a season opportunity to test yourself and put yourself in the shop window. We don't play a high line so he's no more likely to be exposed by pace than he is currently. I think it says an awful lot than a Manchester City academy graduate credits him with a lot of his own development this season.

I read somewhere if Norwich fail to return to the prem this time they could be in a financial meltdown they have some thing like 7/8 players alone on £30k+ a week wages.Norwich - the so called to yo club - had an £80 million wage bill and spent £50m on fees in the relegation season. Any player signing a contract in the league will through their agent be demanding big salaries
McCarthy didn’t play him
