What's the deal with Sessegnon anyway, genuine signing or just a name thrown into the mix?

Our good friends at Ghana SoccerNet are claiming Derrick Kohn (who was apparently the player at the Bournemouth game) is joining Werder Bremen. Hmm…

If he does go to Werder I hope the other Werder LB target Buchanan from Derby joins us. Pure class, would be an absolute coup. Don't see it happening though.

Intresting read about Kasey Palmer and how and why it's not worked. Sounds like he is on big wages.
Reading that there will be zero legs in us signing him.

This site is notorious for bigging up Ghana eligible players, they said in January he was going to Fiorentina, so I’d treat it with caution

14 goals and 10 assists in 134 Championship games

Tbf though

Callum O'Hare,

91 Championship games, 8 goals 16 assists

Palmers stats aren't far off that. End of the day he gives us an option to play alongside Cal with vik up top alone, or as a back up hes certainly a lot better qualified and able in that position than Jodi Jones or Jordan Shipley

Incremental improvements as MR says

Another example or how difficult it is to pick up prospects and bring them through. Had hopes at one stage for Drysdale and Morgan Williams. The pathway to the first team for the likes of Reid, Tavares etc doesn't look much clearer. Be interesting to see whether this gets looked at internally at the club.

Reid from the managers comments doesn’t have the attributes to play left wing back so wouldn’t be surprised if we offload him too if anyone buying

None of the players you’ve mentioned seem likely to make an impact on the first team, but we have a pretty good record of bringing through players from the development squad in the last few years, and that’s with the added headwind of us moving up the leagues at the same time. To have bought through Hyam, Eccles, McCallum, and hopefully soon Howley through to a place where they can be Championship first team regulars is a solid return.

Most were bought whilst we were at a lower level. The club have progressed beyond the level we had hoped for them, so it's no surprise they've not broken through

Drysdale has signed for Newport

Williams was signed from Mickleover and is now at Yeovil on Conference, Drysdale from Tranmere, Conference at the time and he’s got a move to a League 2 club. It’s a shame they didn’t make it here but they’ve progressed from where they came from
