Think they’re trying that aswell, you’re only allowed 8 players out on loan now. The idea is if can’t be loaned out it would make players think twice about joining these clubs
If that’s correct there must be some bargains to be had at Chelsea who have over 30 out on loan.
I'm not sure how solid our interest was but I heard that Twine turned down more than one Championship club to sign for MK Dons.
Don’t blame him, MK Dons have quite a team of talent to be fair

Yeah clocked he was playing v Sheff Wed, he's played well over 700 matches for them. Made his debut when they were called Wimbledon still.Even when we played them in L1, you could tell they were a team that always tried to play a decent style of football (unlike a Rotherham). Amazed that Lewington is still going for them. 38 next month ! Fair play to him.
I've thought for a long time that only season long loans should be permitted (with no recall options). PL clubs hoarding players is just not good for the game in my opinion.
I think only players that are under 21 should be allowed to be loaned otherwise you get ridiculous situations like Drinkwater at Reading and players that Chelsea loan out year after year.
JJ is out of contract end of the season so there is one solution, Walker I think someone would take a punt on him considering he has shown what he can do in the past just needs the right guidance, Waghorn I suppose loaning out but we would still be paying a chunk of his wagesWhat do you do with a Walker or a Waghorn though? Or even a Jody Jones?

Think Waghorn will be the hardest to shift.
Terrible idea.
If you're like us, who will start the summer with multiple players (most of which are on high contracts) that are likely to not play a part next season, how would you feasibly free up their wages? Equally, what happens if a player is unhappy and wants a move but the club can't afford to come to a mutual agreement?
Bringing that kind of law in would be a massive hinderance for both clubs and players.
It is the only way to stop them hoarding players which will then bring the wages down.
It really isn't. Nor will it bring wages down.
You do realise there's new regulations which state clubs can no longer send more than eight players out on loan in any given season.
That's automatically going to put a grinding halt to Chelsea's ridiculous loan model.
How would you suggest to stop the hoarding as there are players at Chelsea (a soft target) that have never been near the first team and I guess other clubs the same.
You think it's a much bigger problem than it is.
Chelsea's model is already backfiring on them. You just have to look at the fact that more youth players are now refusing new contracts to prove that. The departures of Lewis Bate, Myles Peart-Harris and Tino Livramento are recent examples of this.
I look at Sambou if he had stopped with us and played in the first team would he have ended up like Callum Wilson equally he could have been a Shaun Jeffers.
I think it’s better to get the youngsters playing rather than their potential loan spot taken up by someone like Drinkwater. So limiting the numbers of older ones may get the younger ones out to play.
Norway was never in the EU anyway.
I don't think it does stop hoarding, because they'll still have the incentive to bring in as many youngsters as possible because they can still loan them out and either a. get a first team player b. sell them for a tidy sum because they've played for Chelsea/Man City etc.It is the only way to stop them hoarding players which will then bring the wages down.
I’m more talking prem players down than anything else but if you loan to the same league the players should be able to play against parent teams.
Just come on. Fair to say he won't be interested in joining us!Frankfurt play West Ham this week in the Europa semi-final is he likely to feature in that sub or something .
A guy who has a 1 in 10 convertion rate in the last 4 years We have enough dead wood to move on without adding to it.Andy Carroll not being kept at WBA. He is still a quality centre forward - probably end u at Sheff Utd or the like (if they don't go up)
Why not take a punt on Cov. kid Marcus Harness winger Portsmouth decent goalscoring and assist record 26 years old?
The Paterson part was incorrect. We got Bright, Paterson was out of a club for a while, he then went to Middlesboro on trial and then eventually went to Swansea but Bright was signed long before then
Paterson one still disappoints me, always has a blinder against us. Even Luke Steele was posting saying well done on joining CCFC
Twine would have been great but I never heard much about it until now.

Scott Twine looking a proper player away at Plymouth today.
He’s scored 4 out of the 5 goals, he will be playing in the Championship next season no matter what.
Me and a few others have been banging on about him for quite a bit.As for having no chance of getting him(sky blues downunder) why not we are shifitng season tickets well ,and if to be believed we will sell 1 of the big 3 (hope not) we will sureiy be able to compete to buy players like Twine and others who command a fee if not why not?Scott Twine looking a proper player away at Plymouth today.
Not for me. Unless we’re trying to follow the Rotherham yo-yo model we need better.Freddie Ladapo is available on a free, worth the gamble?
