I think J.Burroughs may get a chance this season, looked good enough when he had chances towards the end of 20/21

Would be good if any of the kids can step up, Burroughs, Howley, Tavares, and Bapaga specifically as they play in needed positions. Not seen much from any aside from Eccles that they’re ready to play more than a bit part though.

Bissouma from Brighton en route to Spurs for £25m. Wonder if this might stir a bid for Hamer. Have always suspected they would be the most realistic club for him.

Just been sent a message by a Bristol city mate that the Palmer deal has fallen through?
Couldn’t agree on wages.
Can skybluebeliever or better days have any knowledge of this?

Think they are looking for Bidwell to make a better impression , can’t see Bidwell being second choice for LWB , can see a younger player coming in that position though

Feels like Bidwell may have suffered from similar issues to Gyökeres during his loan spell - lack of game time prior to arriving. Hopefully with a pre-season behind him we can see similar results.

I was under the impression he was actually playing regularly at Swansea prior to joining us but they needed to reduce the wage bill?

I’ll quickly check Google before Platt corrects me…

Says he played 16 games at Swansea last season before joining us and then played 16 for us

So to be clear, after a season where a small squad cost us, and in a season where five subs are allowed, we’re cutting the squad size by not replacing Maatsen, Pask, Drysdale, Shipley, etc?

Just three signings on frees?

What the hell has happened with finances at the club? Record ticket sales and we’ve got less to spend than the last two seasons?

Our wages will swallow that all up. We are maybe in danger of going the Ranson route - spend a bit early on, but when that cash runs out, have to rely on free transfers and higher wages to get players. Can work but, can also get you Gary Deegan.

I think we’d be preferred, QPR can offer a bit more but just changed manager to a relative rookie, Sheffield United were interested different matter

Disagree. JCS is from London, he'll know their manager as he coached at Chelsea and they'll probably be able to offer more money. Real shame.

My big concern with Clarke-Salter is his injuries which hit year on year. His first season at Blues was good but his second was poor. If we sign him great but if not there are other options out there.
We aren’t just signing three players this summer, Robins said he already has 2-3 ready to complete, it will be 5-7 more than likely and more if any of the big three move on.
