If the Hector rumours are true then Id be happy, good defender at this level, just would take a lot of catching up to do in terms of fitness, I'd rather Sarr at this moment in time, but Hector when fit is a top championship defender

Fwiw Turner has ruled out Hector, also the Palace LB is on the list of potential targets but way down it

I was looking at 26 year old Aston Villa Center back Kourtney Hause, played less and less for Villa every season coming by, potentially worth a look on loan, again with them progressing and signing Diego Carlos (a world class CB) he has even less chance of appearing this season.
Then again I could be talking out of my arse and once again be suggesting someone out of our range

He's just had an operation and is out for 6 weeks

Another suggestion for this young centre back is Di’shon Bernard of Man United, was at Hull last season, would be achievable loan to permanent too given he’s 21 and probably not going to make it there.

The obligatory video calling him the future of football with loud music

We were looking at him a couple of seasons back. I swear I read the other month that West Ham were looking at him after impressing at Hull on loan

Someone we should really be targeting but looking at the clubs he’s linked on loan with I think he’s out of our league is West Ham’s 21 year old left back Emmanuel Longelo

He looks like he’d definitely do the job but wanted on loan by higher clubs than us

Turner's (mostly) cut n paste piece states we are working off a list of 3 possibilities for LWB. Buchanan (who wasn't top), Adaramola (who might move up now LB to Bremen) and one more which was presumably Cochrane.
So by that logic, the young Palace lad must now be top target?
Or AT knows there is someone else and isn't spilling?

Looks like Cyrus Christie will go Preston… would have loved to have brought him back here as feel he would have done a great job. If Preston get him as well as Andre Gray and they’ve wrapped up Freddie Woodman that’s a couple of really strong signings there.

Anyone heard anything on where McCallum is likely to end up? I just had a look and it seems Norwich might even keep hold of him and just have him as backup to that Greek left back they have seeming as Brandon Williams has now gone back to Man Utd.

Or Andy turner knows fuck all and takes all his "info" from here and other sites and pastes it as his own, he has no in with the club and as much idea of what is going on as you or I do

Spot on.

Q: How many named CCFC transfer targets have come from Andy Turner this summer?

A: ZERO. Literally zero. Alan Nixon, some randon guy from The Sun, and Derbyshire Live have given more CCFC scoops than that charlatan of a journalist we have to endure.

All he does is take names of players other outlets have linked to City, ask MR/the club if they’re real targets, and then write that they are or aren’t. Easiest job in the pissing world. A work experience kid could do the same. He freely admitted on Twitter he doesn’t know any names of targets - it’s like he’s not even trying.

I think you are kid he up 2 different types of journo.

National jouno’s build relationships with football agents because in printing the rumour it helps the agent build competition for the player, and the players terms as a consequence. Agents want maximum publicity ahead of the player signing.

Local journo’s build relationships with their clubs who are happy to guide on targets that are wide of the market but will be cagey about actual targets until those deals are done. Clubs don’t want any publicity for their targets until after they have signed.

We defo don’t need or want Michael Hector. Absolutely fuckin shite. Can’t pass the ball for toffee and for someone well above 6ft he can’t head it either. Positionally suspect, not very fast and is basically a crock who’s played a handful of games over the last 3 years. Best days behind him.

Stories like this will happen the longer incoming signings are not seen. It may come to a point when a decision has to be made by the club, but at the minute i don't think we need to panic or get frustrated.

If i had looked at MR interviews and seen,no targets, nothing close we missed on all targets, id say the situation is bad. The fact is we have targets, 1 maybe close is a good sign. Im sure 1 in 1 out will happen at some point by now i dont think its the case, just a paper adding 2 plus 2 and coming up with 5.

I just read that one, and a lot of their article's are poor but that one is a new level of shit. There's absolutely nothing there. 0 integrity from the journalist, who quite clearly doesn't care and just wants to get paid.

It's bullshit apparently, hoping we're in for Naby Sarr or Barbet, can only see a couple of young Premier league defenders coming in on loan

If no one comes in for them with a decent offer they won’t be going anywhere

the fact we have no money pisses me off and we’ll only be going the wrong way with sisu In charge at this level

I get that the second point is annoying, but your first point sort of undermines the criticism, if I've understood you correctly?

JCS could be a major miss going to a club nearer where he lives and probably getting way more money than we could offer. However, QPR have an unproved new manager so that could go either way. If JCS keeps fit, I think he will be a major loss. Think he has missed quite a lot of games through injury in the last three seasons so we may have dodged a bullet if he breaks down again. Don't believe QPR or the City have the behind the scenes medical staff that Chelsea have to provide top quality recovery. Remains to be seen if our new physio from Chesterfield is an upgrade. Think also JCS can be bullied (see Luton away) last year.
We seriously need a quality LWB to mix and match with Bidwell so we can rest them both during the season. We have seen Kane and Dabo struggle at LWB, although Dabo was class there against Forest away and looked good when he switched in the later parts of some matches.
Hope Faz tonsillitis is for real, as I thought it was a change of season (ie Spring/Autumn) virus.

Why are people losing their nuts already? It's clear that funds to pay the wages of a decent defender are available as we were setting up to get in JCS.

As far as I can tell we were close to a deal but got gazumped last minute. And that was more to do with geography than finance.

He'd have wanted north of 8k per week I'd imagine. This shows funds are available, It's all about setting up an alternative now. Calm down, wait and see how things unfold.
