He’s an extremely gifted midfielder unfortunately playing in two different systems where he’s of little use. Brighton must be pissed off with us.

That being said, I wouldn’t mind seeing him spell O’Hare for a game in that attacking midfielder role.
If Brighton are pissed off, take him back and put him somewhere which will build a team and style of play around him.

Similar was said on here by the usual experts about a certain Viktor Gyorkeres, twice in fact.
Just because they were wrong about Vik doesn’t make me wrong about Ayari. I simply have not seen any evidence of him being worth a place in the squad since he has been here. I would far rather have one of our own youngsters on the bench than him. I would certainly rather see Eccles in midfield on a match day.

Ayari's situation is commonplace. How many times over the last few years have we fallen foul of it (thinking JWE last season) ? Brighton have the ability to leave him out and just play him in the occassional cup game or reserve fixtures until they see progression. But we don't. We've seen him in these games and have jumped the gun. Personally, he doesn't look ready for the Championship. Its tough, fast and aggressive. Three things I would not link with Ayari's play. Every time he's been brought on, he's looked scared. No doubt he has skill in training or messing with the rest of the squad. But that's completely different to full games.

Unless Brighton are happy for him to play a bit part and we're happy to sacrifice a bench seat, I'd say that he needs to go to a club that will fit his ability and strength. I'd say League 1 as a step up for him with the Champ in a few years.

And just a reminder..... Jan Transfer Window opens on Jan 1st, in 12 days time.

Start writing your Santa wish letters for potential players. He does read them as Santa is a Sky Blue

What about the flip side. Do we think we’ll lose anyone. Well anyone we don’t want to lose?
All depends on whether O'Hare will sign a new contract, we'd have to look to cash in, rather than leave him to run it down and leave for free. Moore should probably move on even if it's a loan.

If O’Hare decided to move on I doubt there would be any fee.

Nah, doesn't make sense for anyone to pay for him now.

And we'd be back to the chaos of Hamer's contract again. Until CoH signs for us or someone else, we're back to not knowing whether to work our team around/with him and it'll impact the rest of the club's preparations, especially if we do ultimately go up (very long odds but not nil yet). If he's not not intimated that he would or has signed a new contract by the middle of the Jan transfer window, assume he's leaving and buy accordingly and let him go.

It's dramatic but the club/team isn't worth a single player. And we can't be held to ransom. We have to move on regardless. It'd be far better with CoH but if he's not willing to put pen to paper or even tell us what his intentions are, we have to make alternative arrangements. Leaving it till he tells us will push plans back.

To be fair to CoH we haven’t even approached him yet apparently - we’d have to do that first

Can’t imagine a prem team will be after him, as long as we don’t take the piss with what we offer I think him signing an extension makes sense for everyone

I think he’ll sign a new deal early next year

I just can't see it, although I really hope it happens. He has signalled he wanted to leave in the past, with the whole Burnley saga. Loads of team are going to be keeping tabs on him at the moment, because they know they can pick him up on a free. And he's been playing very well, so no reason why teams won't approach him in Jan.

I don’t think during the Burnley saga O’Hare ever speculated he wanted away all the talk came from the Burnley end and their gobby manager Vince Kompany COH spent much of the summer at various festivals & venues often going on stage yahooing with his mate Tom Grennan.
Remember at that time there was no Doug King, he ain’t been here a year yet just those two arseholes Sappala & toxic Tim Fisher trying to cash in on him.

I think Callum will stay,he loves it here and can surely see the journey the team are on . In truth where will he go? Burnley? Certs for relegation. Can't see an established premier league side wanting him .
Of the teams we've played of late I couldn't see him starting for Leeds, Ipswich or Southampton

Would like to see a backup winger to Sakamoto brought in, probably a loanee

Worth noting if he keeps his current form up I wouldn’t rule out Sakamoto being called up to play for Japan at the Asian Games in Jan

2 goals in a televised game meant O’Hare had the biggest involvement with a ship window since Noel Whelan went drinking in Leamington.

If he can prove he’s back on the way to fitness all the clubs that thought about spending money on him before his window will be queuing to sign him on a free.

There’s very little chance he’ll sign a new contract now.
