Scott is 19, plays for the England U21, is a prominent member of a championship side, got 2 years left on his contract. The owner is a billionaire who doesn’t want to sell.Scott has always looked promising when I've seen him, but I've not seen him dominate a game like Hamer has done in the Championship. A £22m fee for a player with potential seems very risky for the clubs reported to be interested in him, when his output hasn't yet got near to matching his promise. A record of 1 goal in 40+ games last season would have had us tearing our hair out.
He has been heavily linked with Sheffield Wednesday and I would imagine a few more clubs on loan.Would have thought he’d have gone on their tour if they see him as a genuine future first teamer, they’ve taken quite a few young players
That’s also a possibility yes but clubs usually want a look in pre season and the best ones don’t become available until squads are finalisedHe has been heavily linked with Sheffield Wednesday and I would imagine a few more clubs on loan.
I'm expect he isn't included because he will head out to somebody in the next week or so.
I can't find any information on his contract - is that correct?BNC also going into his final year of contract but I would assume arsenal have an extension clause

Correct, but his performances have been good - he was the young player of the season in the league. He’s not an attacking midfielder so he isn’t going to bang in goals.None of that changes any of the points made in my post. His performance history so far has been underwhelmimg stats wise. 1 goal in a Championship season is very poor particularly. The teams interested in him are those likely to be fighting relegation, and in need of players that can hit the ground running. £22m therefore seems very steep to be buying unproven potential, for those particular clubs.
Not every under 21 player has a successful PL career by the way!!
Stats have their place but sometimes you just need eyesScott has always looked promising when I've seen him, but I've not seen him dominate a game like Hamer has done in the Championship. They're also supposedly signing Ampadu for 12m so not all that bad.Leeds have loaned 4 first teamsters out in the last week can’t imagine it’s looking great financially
Unlike Leicester they have few assets
Think simms would have to do it for 2 seasons too to reach that kind of fee , unless he produces a worldie and smashes 25-30 first seasonScott also has English tax, guarentee if Simms scores 20 goals for us, he goes for more than Gyokeres did
This is exactly what we need from parachute payment clubs to have any hope of competing with them... for them to be wasting 12 million like that. They're also supposedly signing Ampadu for 12m so not all that bad.

We offered him a contract, can't force him to sign itRose going to Stoke on a free………..……..and we’re scratting around for cb’s?
You don't know that we are scratting around for CBs though ..Rose going to Stoke on a free………..……..and we’re scratting around for cb’s?
Couldn't get in the team last season , why have him back?Rose going to Stoke on a free………..……..and we’re scratting around for cb’s?
and he was a bomb scare whenever he played.Couldn't get in the team last season , why have him back?
Our defence is going to be Kitching, McNally, Latibeaudiere. Calling it now. Reckon 2 come in this week. You don't know that we are scratting around for CBs though ..

Possibly down to timing, if McNally wasn’t in when the bid was made and Panzo was still not fully fit then, if an injury had occurred to Fadz/Doyle etc it would have been a youth player or someone playing out of position.I'm reading that Stoke may be about to sign Rose, and that we turned down a bid from Stoke for 750k in January. Is there any truth in this? As 750k seems like a hell of a lot money to turn down, for a player who had less than 6 months left on their contact and played less than 90 mins since January.
No point speculating, we will never find out if there was an offer or how much it was. We evidently wanted Rose to sign a new contract as well which he then didn't. What was he taking pictures of ?Latibaudere apparently been seen at CBS this morning taking pictures on the pitch
Thought id pop back on to say I was told Brooke is coming back
Then again same person that told me Latibaudiere was done and that was 3 weeks ago so
Interesting if Brooke does come back. Loan or Permenant?Latibeaudiere bit right then, lets hope Brooke is
Theu didn't rate gyokeres eitherWill he play CB or RWB? I read some comments from Swans fans and quite a few don't rate him. Clearly Robins/Adi see something they don't?
Hopefully permanent. Not sure I'd take him on loan againInteresting if Brooke does come back. Loan or Permenant?
We see you lurking all the time anyway, you were never really gone were you
