To get this thread back on track, in light of the formation change I think our targets for Jan should be:

All action central midfielder (essentially Gus's replacement). Permanent deal. Ideally someone <26.

1-2 specialist wingers. Maybe 1 permanent, 1 loan. This is a bit of a hole in the squad post formation change.

Then we could also look at a right sided full back as proper back up for Milan.

Harshly worded but technically true. Not many other jobs keep you on full pay for that length of time when you’re unfit for work.
Getting back to pro footballer-level fitness in less than a year after a torn ACL is itself a full-time job. He hasn’t just been sitting in bed for 12 months.

Alright let’s just expect O’Hare to leave on a free then, as if it’s completely fine that whilst we big his name up every single week, chant it with pride, give money towards the club so he can have the best rehab money can buy yet we should be alright with him jumping to a relegated Burnley or some other shit team for free. I don’t expect 100% loyalty like some benign dictator but it’d be nice if O’Hare signed for another year, allow the fans to see him play with his former glory or allow the club to recoup some of the money they’ve spent on him. It’s also not like it’s all one-way traffic, like we’ve just used him, he’s being paid a wage some of us can only dream of and we pay for that by giving up our money to watch him play, it’s part of the game I get it but I just personally think it’d be good of him to give a little something back, just my personal view.

As for “feelings”, it’s a game based on feelings, yes there’s rules and standards but without people’s feelings there wouldn’t be football as a sport, let alone this forum. My personal feeling, from whatever weird notions I’ve picked up from seeing him and listening to him, is that O’Hare thinks he’s better than he is. I don’t dislike him for it, in fact I think it’s sometimes good in a player, I wish Haji had a bit more of that tbf, but that’s just my feeling. It’s nothing big, just a minor comment that’s all.
'feelings' are something only experienced by fans. For all other participants in the game it's 90% money 10% pride, just like everybody else's working life

It's unlikely any other team is going to offer Cal big wages and multi year contract until he has shown any sort of fitness and form. Getting 10-20 min game time isn't going to get him there either. In 3 month time we might be not only his best option, but his only option.

Cal’s gonna be an interesting one now. He’s obviously still playing his way back to full match fitness but there’s no obvious position to slot him in once he gets fit. I’d probably prefer Allen for the foreseeable in a mid 3 because he has a bit more steel defensively. Cal will have to prove he has that and more to stake a claim. I don’t see him starting out wide because he simply lacks the pace (and looked completely lost when playing there on Tuesday).

I would still love to see us sign him up for another year or two because he is quality when fit (and if he could perfect the final ball/shot would be a premier league player). But if he goes without forcing himself into the XI I won’t be too cut up.

Weren’t you posting about football manager at 2am the other week? Talentless loser

I‘d rather post about that than come on here being offended that someone’s said something about Harry Styles - what a weird man/woman

Harry Styles wrote a global mega hit about having oral sex with supermodel and Victoria’s Secret angel Kendall Jenner.

@baldy posts about football manager at 2am in the morning and has Boosh fan posters in his bedroom

Unless he has videos of it, it didnt happen. Lads have to record such escapades now to show the lads as proof down the watering holes.

If it were me id make a bid for Hamer. Gut feeling ive got is he wants out of Sheff Utd asap as its not been an upward move for him at all.

Playing in the premier league each week? How is it not been an upward move? Just because they’ve been shite?

As much as I'd like him I'm not sure we need another big striker who runs the channels well. We've gone big on Wright & Simms so need to stick with it. Maybe if he doesn't move in Jan and Godden moves on in the summer.

Top priorities in Jan have to be CM and dynamic Winger who can play either side.

Godden isn’t getting any younger and Tavares is not longed for this squad.
