Realistically Styles, Al-Hamadi, Sarmiento loan. If we’re willing to break the bank would get a really superb midfielder like Zorgane.
Really don't think styles is what we need for the midfield. Seen him couple of times now and pretty "meh", doesn't mean im right btw!

just think if we are wanting to go further, we need better and more progressive. Money shouldn't be issue either.

Big few weeks ahead - be great to get midfielder in for Leicester game.

Charlie Cresswell from Leeds (who apparently had agreed to join last Jan before changing his mind to pursue his chances at Leeds) seems to be available likely to buy. I know it's not our main priority but seems medium term we do want one more centre back. Wonder if we might try again for him.

Wouldn’t mind Cresswell if Binks was going back knowing McFadzean is gone in the summer as well.
For me Sam Field and Chris Willock from QPR both out of contract next summer. Worth a couple of cheeky low offers.

Dani Pereira sounds like a very credible rumour then given he was vaguely linked in the summer and has been liking the clubs posts

Wonder how solid the Nathaniel Adjei links are, would be interesting to see if he came in during the window or in the summer

Be surprised if we’re looking to bring in anyone from MLS in January tbh - having not played since October it will take them a long time to get up to speed, we need someone who’s ready to make an immediate impact.

Right footed central defender …

unless we see him as a big upgrade to Thomas I can’t see us investing in this area unless we plan to go back to 3 centre halves

Been linked with Field and Willock in the past so could see moves for them. QPR in trouble financially and looking likely for relegation.

Unless he is already up to speed having worked on this over the past months? You’re right it does seem to be a tall order for someone to come in without playing in a while.

He’s 28 (hardly past it) and decent experience at this level, although I agree ideally we need someone more defensive minded / box to box in midfield, but I still think he improves the team even as another option in the CoH / KP positions
Yes, fair point 28 certainly not passed it, but your spot on, he's another COH/KP type. We need the b2b/Defensive minded 6/8 ball of energy. Let's hope stats bomb does its thing!!!!

JS would be a waste of money at this time of season I think.

We enquired about him in the last week of the last window. This has been confirmed by Swift.

West Brom were happy to trade but his wages killed the discussion. Swift needed a pay off to move and West Brom are skint.

Sam McCallum out of contract in the summer, I’m not a massive fan but Robins was. I would prefer them to renew Bidwell.

I've always like McCallum (very strong in the air, and good at attacking) - one criticism (based largely on their recent game at Ipswich) is that he gets caught out of position a lot, as he likes to join in all the attacking play, and Ipswich (through Wes Burns) got in down his side frequently and a few times he was 'miles' away from his defensive position.

Bidwells contracted until Jun 2025 and Dasilva until Jun 2027, I can't see him bringing in another left back unless he offloads one first.

Pretty sure Swift spoke about our bid after the window closed and said he wasn't interested in coming to us anyway.

Edit: "As soon as I found out I rung my agent and told him I didn’t really want to go"

he did, but this was mainly because it was too late in the day, I think he said it was very last minute and he didn’t want to leave, rather than not wanting to join us specifically
