OK looking at where Bobby thomas is on that badge and he's 6ft 1.2 , this lad could actually be about 5ft 10
According to the internet Robins is 5ft 8in, he looked a good 3-4 inches taller than him. Even on the YouTube clips he looks quite tall. He's never 5ft 9, more 5ft 11 maybe even 6ft.

…although how has it shown that, when this guy is by all accounts a Hamer in the making, and many have recently been saying we don’t need such a player in our new system?

I’m not saying you’re wrong, just intrigued as to what you mean? where do you see him fitting in our new system?
Time will tell ….

COH will need replacing to too don’t forget.

Think he will play alongside Sheaf or Eccles and play the Gus role where he attacked from deep . Don't think he will play too high but looks and sounds like he can pick a pass and travel with ball .
Wherever he plays he looks an exciting signing for the run in and beyond

Why should the system stay rigid? In an ideal world you want a variety of players that allow you to shift formations according to the opposition

One thing that’s definitely been made clear to me from all these transfer rumours is that the player we get in is almost always completely left field and is no one that anyone on here has mentioned before. So the talk of Adjei, Zorgane, Seidl, Styles, Swift, Ebiowei, Reis etc etc is all just people coming up with names that they’ve most likely heard before somewhere. Basically if you’ve seen a “likely transfer” on here without a proper journalist reporting it then the actual transfer is not that player, it’s some random geezer from a team you’ve never heard of before.

It’s therefore clear that our recruitment team have put in some hard yards to spot these potential talents that other teams haven’t bothered to unearth, and I think for that they deserve credit. 👏🏻

(Edit: that’s not aimed at those who actually are/appear to be ITK like Saddlebrains, those people I actually appreciate them getting the info and passing it onto us in the first place.)

All these "names" come from agents who are agitating for moves for their clients, nothing more.

Apparently Clarke’s value is between £6.6 & 11 million can’t see any championship club paying the high figure.
But I hope Sunderland get it as I reckon we have half a dozen here as good or better than him.
Tatsu 6 goals plus assists, Wright 8 goals plus assists in how many minutes, O’Hare 5 goals + assists in how many minutes plus three our new defence.
I hope they get their 10 or 11 mill.

The players Robins wants will be players that can play in multiple roles. You cant have everyone like that but look at MVE, Lats, Saka, JDS and Wright. This is as well as working on players like Eccles, Allen, Bidwell, and Palmer who can slide into different team shape. He wants multifaceted players and be able to be flexible

Clarke has a few years left o his contract so his value is whatever Sunderland feel is a fair deal.

They don't need to or want to sell him so if no one bids what tehy want then he says there

Well that’s what I thought his contract is 2026 but apparently he’s on the move the Sunderland lot blame that boy chairman’s they have, bit of an arse apparently.

Torp on a 4.5 year deal. Not sure if the fee is 1.5m or 2.5 but either way good deal. He’s been one of the best players at his club who overperformed most of the season.

Don’t know why we’re still on about Jack Clarke or why we were on about him from the beginning. His only move is gonna be to the league above us, literally zero chance he signs for another championship club. 0️⃣

Im buzzing, not because of the player its the fact we just signed another young player on 4.5 year deal for money and it now feels all but normal.

We have moved on so much as a club on and off the field. I hate to bring them up but what the fuck were sisu doing for years.... This has took months to see a massive change.

Now Doug go get some more pace and keep building as expectations is rising of where we could go.

there's interest and people think someone like West Ham will pay the money they want

let's stop talking about jack clarke as there is no chance we could sign him so he's not a transfer target

if you want to talk about hi i'd suggest the championship thread for that

I do agree with all that so I’ll switch my attention to Liam Millar better player than Clarke currently on loan at PNE and I’m sure his parent club Basel will sell.

Not defending but selling £35m of players has helped
