It happens at every other ground. You often see games where there's no gap at all just a line of stewards. Of course while there's trouble week after week there's not much incentive to allow a change.Leads me to think of the huge gap between home and away fans at the CBS - would it be that much bother having home and away fans closer ? Surely it can be done if managed properly.
Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere but was there any trouble after the game yesterday ? As we were walking out things were being hurled between both fans (including a seat) and it looked like it might turn nasty.
I actually felt the Reading fans next to us were pretty decent and led to a decent atmosphere

Fair point - talking in general terms thoughNot sure KCM that 'fans' throwing seats and 'other things' at each other is the best argument I've heard for having the away fans closer.
But I do see what you are saying.
Back to lobbing things. Anyone trying to kick off with families and kids around - total cowardly twats. The same twats who would run a mile before getting in a ring and going toe to toe - but jump up and down acting like Cov's hardest when hiding amongst fans who aren't there for any trouble or protected by police lines.

Weren’t city fans hit with flares/pyrotechnics of some sort?
Absolutely see what you are saying KCM. I reckon 98% of fans go to games without wanting to behave like completely anti social morons; as always it's the 2% who seem intent on ruining it for the rest for some kind of deluded bragging rights. 'You should have seen us Connor outnumbering the other lot 100 to 1 and dancing around behind the cops.'Fair point - talking in general terms though
Coventry fans are a different breed (not in a good way) to reading fans , it would be catastrophic having home fans close to away fans at the cbs considering they can't manage when they are big blocks apart
I am not convinced by this logic. I think the big gaps lead to some fans to get far too brave and it gives them an area to move into. It's much harder and takes much more sizeable bollocks to try and jump into a group of fans rather than empty space. When the odd person does this due to weight of numbers they normally regret it. We could have a line of police and stewards between the two sets taking up 3 rows of seats maximum.
It won't happen as it feels like it makes no logical sense, but it is quite apparent most inside the stadium disorder doesn't take place in full grounds.
Yep. Spot on.
Considering there was near to no segregation, no one broke through or ran into the opposition stand.
Just to play devil's advocate there was a fence in the way though
There's a fence/barrier between singers corner and the away end too.
After shit happening yesterday with a load of coked up City fans, I’m very put off with bothering anymore this season. I really cba with it.
And this is exactly why they need to get a grip on the increasing trouble fast. Won't be long before people start deciding attending games isn't worth the hassle. After shit happening yesterday with a load of coked up City fans, I’m very put off with bothering anymore this season. What happened?
This guy in front with his mates was desperate to get just inches closer to the Reading fans just so he could look all hard and gesticulate towards them. After their second goal he went into overdrive and came over and trampled all over us so I pushed him back to his row. They all ganged up on me and my old man. Stewards came and warned them. It carried on until just after our third so we had enough and started to fight back and we all got escorted from the ground. Earlier on when Jaoa scored some guy ran across the block and jumped over our row nearly flattening a kid, just so he could have a go at home fans. The kids dad kicked off with him.
I’m sick of just standing about having a shit time. If they’re just gonna stand and do it, fine. But throwing their weight around and hurting other fans just to simply flip a bird, is so out of line. I’m seeing “oh we’ve been locked down for two years, so it’s okay [to act like neanderthals].” Nah, I’m sick of it.
First time in 52 years my dad has been removed.
Cocaine has always been a problem at football as far as I cam remember, particularly at away gamesGet sniffer dogs in at all grounds to deter this seemingly rising trend of cocaine use at football grounds and start banning anyone provoking or behaving with violence.
That's shit mate. Some people eople need a word with themselves.
Been locked down is a bullshit excuse.

Can’t go toilet without coming out reeking of fags. People getting their fix of Charlie in the cubicles.

Steady on chap.....lets not be too hasty...what about my occasional post-game blunt?
Or how about not taking any drugs and just going and enjoying a game of football??? Mad idea I know
That’s the difference. The general rule has always been if you don’t want trouble you’ll be fine but that’s changing. Before the game against Derby, dickheads shouting at old Derby fans minding their own business.
