Protests don’t have to be peaceful to be
Lawful
That depends on your definition of "peaceful"
I'm sure you will find the local police chief will make that call, as he's the one held responsible if things go T.U.

In London last year the public were outraged at the disruption caused by "just stop oil"
And there were a number of complaints raised about "soft policing" "two tier" policing and accusing police of standing idly by and doing nothing, even when emergency services vehicles were being held up.

So it's clearly a difficult situation for the police to manage.

There's a huge difference between protesting peacefully, and doing so in a place that's directly going to cause a breach of the peace.

For example, that lad who shouted abuse at Prince Andrew during the Queens funeral procession, he was very quickly silenced and ejected, and quite rightly so.
And we all know Prince Andrew is a "wrong un" but there's a time and a place.

In short, you DO have the right to peaceful protest, but you DO NOT have the right to decide when and where to protest.
The police have a duty to protect life and property and that will take precedent.
You have the right to protest, but only when and where the state decides? In cases such as this extra protection should be given to those expressing the 'unpopular' opinion, instead of censorship.

It's not censorship if the police decides your action is likely to endanger life or property.

The protesters at the coronation (for example) could of walked the few hundred yards to Hyde park, and protested quite lawfully. Without the fear/risk of causing a disturbance.

Who is going to kill someone over saying there shouldn't be a monarchy? Likewise, who is going to kill someone over protesting against Israel?

Honestly, where does Trump get these people from?

BBC News - Trump envoy dismisses Starmer plan for Ukraine

Putin is not a bad guy? And he likes him?

Ukraine is a false country?

🤦

Unbelievable really isn't it
It was always going to get dismissed. I’m surprised Starmer didn’t wear army gear in the photo though.

Was there a danger to life or property at the Coronation protests?

Could have btw.

What danger to life was there caused by someone shouting at Andy?

Well go and protest outside a mosque against Islam, or Muhammad or shariah law, and see how you get on.

I mean who would kill someone over protesting about a long dead prophet?

Try being a Jew in London just going about your legal daily business when there's a pro Palestine march going on.

Should the police allow a pro Palestine March to go through a Jewish area, and if so who's at fault if someone gets hurt?

Showing such disregard and disrespect for the Queen's funeral.

(Not for upsetting Andrew, he's just a nonce)
If you think he's a nonce, I'd be more concerned about him escaping unpunished than someone shouting something nasty at him. Luckily, not everyone is a subservient cap doffer who thinks the Royals are above the law.

I look forward to the day Andrew gets to answer for his crimes in court.

Unfortunately in the court of social media it's almost impossible to hold one point of view without some idiot coming out and saying you are 100% pro or anti that issue.

This being a typical example, I've said it's disrespectful for anyone to shout abuse and obscenities at a funeral, so you now say, I must be a "subservient cap doffer" and no doubt in your tiny mind I'm now a 100% loyalist supporter, honestly it's laughable.

I didn't say you were, it was just a remark in general - don't be such a snowflake.

Yeah we’re totally screwed

while everyone is busy laughing at how incompetent they are Justin Amash raised a good point. They didn't take this to congress as they claimed it was an emergency situation, this chat shows that was entirely untrue.
