Tried to get my head around it a few years ago.
Still got the migraine.
Create a problem, wait for the reaction, and then offer the solution, then comes the desired outcome for the creator of the problem. Thesis, antithesis and synthesis.
Which is a very simple way of putting it into perspective, as it does get complicated, and has a myriad applications.

This is where most people descend into ‘conspiracy theorist’ ranting, without actually looking into the principles of Hegel’s Dialectic, and seeing how it has been enacted by governments, social engineers, even financiers, for a good few centuries.

Just thought it may be relevant to drop in here, haha.

You've been called out so you're trying to go on the offensive, but every time you post you just make it worse. The fact you have felt forced to have just done that first paragraph is another glowing validation that this is the case. Why not just say that the first time instead of talking about the Capitol? You've just, again, proved my point.

There's zero hypocritical about my two posts either, they're both referencing the same thing. You know that though.

Like I said, you're going on the offensive because you thought in generally what is a pretty safe leftist space, you could talk some shit and not get challenged. You have, and you're now flapping around. Give it a rest.
I don't feel called out, nor do I feel like I'm going on the offensive. I just called out another poster's hypocrisy in this thread. I don't revel in murders and attempted murders, so my default position is that they're wrong, including this and the Capitol, both of which are clearly politically motivated and symptomatic of problems in America.

And of course of all the posts on this topic it's mine you go for.

Absolutely obsessed.

Well you and Duffer I’d say are the main two finding reasons for it and thereby making a form of justification

Go on what? You are getting your knickers in a twist here.

What did or did not happen at the Capitol has nothing to do with an assassination attempt, and to bring it up about 12 hours after someone has been shot in the context you have shows a very clear agenda. That's literally the end of it, and as I said, you're proving my point with flying colours.

If you want to go into what happened that day and start screaming about it then that's up to you. Just pick your timing and approach better, or you look like someone trying to justify what happened yesterday. There's a few of you here.
There's no 'what did or did not happen'. The attack on the Capitol did happen.

Capitol Hill has a huge connection to what happened yesterday, it definitely should be brought up.
And look at the posts on this thread, prior to yesterday, which tried to have serious discussions on Capitol Hill that got the usual laughing emoji, all of a sudden the same people don't think violent subversion is a laughing matter, again, fucking clowns.

To be fair we have no idea what motivate the shooter yesterday

Look. You boys can bring up the Capitol all you want, you can discuss the reaction then from all aspects of the political spectrum, and you can also discuss the events of the day itself.

At this point, bringing up at this time just makes you come across as a sore leftist that is using this as an opportunity to have a pop. That's it.

All I did was correct your attempt to cast doubt on whether the attack on the Capitol happened.

CNN originally tried to claim Trump fell at the rally and people had to help him up

I know it's a serious subject, but really couldn't help myself liking this ...

Why would I be sore about either event? Weird turn of phrase.
But I'm not the one being a hypocrite.
And as far as I'm concerned, it's absolutely appropriate to bring up Capitol Hill after what happened yesterday, the fact you dont think it is doesn't change my opinion one iota, though if that's your take on it that's fair enough.

Yes, spot on. Of course it's appropriate.

There is no room for political violence. You don't have to say 'on the left or the right'. There no proviso needed.

I’m pretty sure I read he used to be a member of the Republican Party but recently made a donation to another smaller one.
Hmmmm....

"Crooks was a registered Republican, the Associated Press reported. The election in November would have been the first time he had been old enough to vote in a presidential race.

But in 2021, Crooks, then 17, made a $15 donation to a political action committee that raises funds for left-leaning and Democratic politicians the news agency reported, according to a Federal Election Commission filing."

Yeah that’s what I heard but I thought it was for actual left-wing groups rather than the Democrats.

@Nick has Starmer been in touch with you yet? They said he's collecting experts to help plug the gaps in all fields, so no doubt he'll be along shortly to get a list of names from you.

It matters not the subject, UK politics, US politics, the wars in Ukraine or Israel, this is the only place to look for the entire spectrum of opinion.

Some of you need to either go and enjoy the sunshine, have a beer, have a wank or a lie down. I know we all have opinions but to consistently argue them so strongly all the time can't be healthy. Do you even believe what you all type? This is now around 150 pages and yet I'd imagine regardless of left or right leaning, almost 100% of you agree Trump's a bit of a dick.

Regardless of what you think of him, fucking fair play getting up and giving it the big un to the crowd.

I'd be sneaking out under that stage personally 🤣

No it doesn't. It shines a light on the hypocrites on here and elsewhere here who supported violence as a method of subverting democracy when it suited them.
Capitol hill was wrong, the attempt to assassinate Trump was, wrong, but some people support the former and not the latter.
Why even bring it up? Can’t you just show some compassion or relief for the fact that trump is still alive? It’s clear what your trying to do and say but you’ll never admit it

But there are quite a few on here who certainly don't think he is a bit of a dick. Strange thing is though that none of them can or are prepared to say what it is about him they support. Laughing boy Ernie being a case in point.

Such a sad state of affairs all round especially for the families of the dead/injured. The reaction of some of the livid red necks in the crowd giving the finger to cameras and screaming U-S-A, U-S-A indicates the violence, hatred and division will just sadly escalate. The right of politics across the world inc. Farage/Reform supporters, will gain extra motivation from this too and just poir fuel on the Culture War. Would be nice if we agree a new calmer style of political debate.... ain't going to happen though.
What an absolute load of shit, should it be illegal to chant USA USA now? Fucking joker

On the video while the agents are trying to get him to safety and nobody knows if more shots are coming he's making sure he doesn't lose his shoes. How good must those shoes be?

How is it hilarious? Pretty weak sense of humour you have there.

Seems pretty odd to say you are voting for someone and not be able to say why.

No chance. And it's not even his stance, it's the crackpot in the NRA who he'll appease.
I think there's definitely a case for banning public ownership of handguns at least.
(I know this debate has been done to death over the years in the USA)

There's always an argument to keep hunting rifles, but I can't see any argument for needing a hand gun that can be easily smuggled into a major public event or school etc.

I'm of the understanding that ALL modern type handguns are banned here in the UK.
And getting g caught in possession of one is an Imediate 5 year prison stay.

If this shooting doesn't focus the next President's mind on the issue then nothing will.

As I said, its a very old debate, but ive always thought that an assassination of a president is the only thing even likely to bring about any kind of change.
