Surely Covid will give Biden an easy out that protects his ego (he’s as bad as trump on that’s score)

Also, now, I’m not fan of Maitlis but look at this nutter she’s interviewing. Also saw a similar interaction between a Times reporter and another female republican. They’re crazy!

That's the thing with Republicans. Even if you managed to not get Trump the rest are just as crazy in one form or another. It's almost impressive how they can be on the wrong side of the argument every time.

It is totally in the hands of the Dems.

The GOP have set their stall out.

All they have to do is nominate someone vaguely sensible.

Not Creepy Joe

Not Cackling Kamala.

No one from California

No DEI

Listened to his address during the night.
Some of it was hilarious.
He will find a cure for cancer and altheimers (sp).
He will pick up the phone and end all wars.
200% import duty on Chinese cars.
Promote petrol and diesel cars and end the silly green programs

I got an email from a retailer I subscribe to saying now is the time to buy PV Panels etc as the duty is going up to 50%.

It seems the Renewable Energy push is off. Now the US car market seems to be in a period of collapse and the price of EVs has been hit particularly hard and the Legacy Manufacturers are pulling back their plans. Hybrids remain popular but not full on EVs.

For those interested in the techie details of the assassination attempt this is interesting.

The fact checking article on the BBC is a funny read
CLAIM: “Our crime rate is going up, while crime statistics all over the world are going down"

VERDICT: Violent crime in the US fell last year.

So how does a new figure go down? Refreshing as nobody's heard from them, or without the chance for the four hundred days campaigning or whatever it is before they even get nominated, do they then look like a lost voice?

Best bet is Biden steps down and Harris is President for a bit to lend her some legitimacy. The polls are close, it’s a real gamble whoever comes in, could go either way I guess.

It's too late to change imo, Kamala Harris is an absolute moron. Stick with Biden, if he wins, give him 6 months and retire him and if Trump wins they'll have to suck up the loss and go again in a few years

Biden is not going to win. When he can't even get a number of staunch Democrats to get behind him when the alternative is Trump, he's not got a chance. Harris has not got a chance if she took over as she's unpopular.

I imagine their campaign finances are falling through the floor.

As it stands Trump is going to win. He's going to win big. And with that level of electoral votes he will start dismantling the democratic foundations of America and his followers will lap it up until the realise it's too late.

Genuinely, this could be the point where the axis shifts and America stops being the top dog.

Big win could be as Labour did it a small increase in Repub voter but a significant decline in Dems, basically there are 4 States in play.

God it’s all so depressing, but people here just generally crack on as if it’s not the laughing stock of the world politically

That happened when he was elected first time around.

It doesn't matter who wins the election, Americas decline (and the west overall) is baked in the cake regardless.

I'd say it's just rearranging deck chairs on the titanic at this point.
It’s already started - divide and conquer has been underway for a while now and is working.

How can the vp make a statement of Islamic nuclear power in the uk and no one call him out regarding Pakistan

It was him making a joke - it wasn’t serious

Under PINO Biden the decline has been like nothing before.
