She has no option, she is going to have to lie about her past comments or lie about her future solutions. That was always going to be the issue once Biden shit his pants. And with them banging the drum about equality so hard, if they moved her to the side for a white guy, the whole house of cards fall.

They need the media again and hide her away to pull this one out the bag. The issue is this time people want to hear the policies, its no good just saying im better, he is evil this time. People are going to vote with pockets in mind. And no matter how much they hated Trump most were better off and felt safer.

I don’t know enough about the swing states and what’s likely to impact their view/decision on the candidates but either way Harris has got to be better in public. Not being Trump should be enough but over there it’s not

Walz is an excellent governor who’s sharp with his press interviews and has an impressive career background. Done some pretty transformative stuff.

the use economy is far better under biden and much much better for normal people under biden

Yeah, maybe he has but as I say, this isn’t about playing to the democratic base, this is about winning the swing states. He could be great but if Harris is dropping bollocks in public, it will open the door for trump

A former soldier and schoolteacher whose own electoral base is fairly rural. He’s an excellent pick, far better than JD Vance

You had me until schoolteacher. Kidding. Far better choice than Vance but that wasn’t my point. The VPs will help/hinder a little but ultimately this is a choice between Trump and Harris and I think she’s got to do better

And how do you know this? Because its certainly not better for so called normal people? The figures tell you working families are 6000 worse off a year and that figure is from non party agency.

And as im living here i can tell you its that way for all no matter what you voted.

Pretty good pick, not a mentalist (at least by US standards), pro guns so that will please many including the NHRA. I was hoping she’d go for Pete Buttigieg but I doubt the US is ready for a woman of colour as president and an out gay married man who took his husbands name and has adopted kids VP ticket. Enough people’s heads are going to explode if she gets in anyway, probably not a good idea to push your luck.

As governor he’s legalised marijuana and got universal free school meals and breakfast. When he got criticised his response was essentially ‘are you criticising us feeding children?’.

Count Binface would've been a better pick than Vance. I suppose if Trump picked someone normal, it would just make him look even weirder by comparison.

Apparently Republicans don't like him being called weird, so that's going to stick, I think.

In 1 day 4 different news outlets had guests, and presenters saying the word weird 740 times. Its not hard the to get people to say it after...Again notice how its not policy driven its a personal jibe, policy they cant go near for very good reasons.

Vance is a genuinely baffling choice where as Walz is a great one, ticks a lot of the boxes as you said school teacher, soldier, rural, folksy and at the same time genuinely progressive.

Right wing media haven’t got any attack lines on Walz that work. Because funnily enough despite the actions of their politicians, Americans support progressive policies and he comes across as an affable mid-Western dad.

Trump even ignored his own advisers in making a racist jibe at Harris recently. He’s a mess who can only resort to begging Joe Biden to come back.

He was the same at his inauguration. Tried claiming that there were more people lining the streets at his than there was at Obamas. When there clearly wasn’t by any stretch of a normal person’s imagination.
