Hey look I don't give a shit who wins , I don't think throwing toys out and calling everybody names does anybody any good and hasn't done now for a good while because the push back Seems to get bigger .

But do continue

People don't like other people telling them that they're stupid and thick .

Who are other people to sit on their throne looking down at others telling them what they are ?

There's nothing positive to come from that
Like the trans issue it’s largely a straw man but even if it were true it’s logically incoherent.

People supposedly vote for Trump and Brexit because they’re called stupid but in this largely imagined reality they’re called stupid FOR voting for Trump and Brexit. What’s the cause and what’s the effect?

America is a predominantly white country , alot of these thick people voted for Biden and Obama
Yeah so what? You can’t talk about a large group of people without making generalisations and that demographic leans strongly Trump.

I wasn’t under the impression that BSB on SBT can change public opinion in the US to be fair

Well no but mate there is the same upset as there was with the last trump win ?

Surely you , an educated person could see him winning weeks ago when all us thickos could

So you're happy to call them thick when they don't vote how you want them to vote ?

That was my reading of it until very recently when I thought the polls were missing something. Should have stayed with my initial thoughts on that one.

I do think that 2024 Trump is the most dangerous of the three though for a number of reasons and if he tanks the US that has consequences for us here.

Well it's a good thing our newly elected MPs haven't got a history of trashing trump and he will willingly listen to our concerns and work with us ... oh wait

He won’t and I know we have no influence over him, but the US imploding is not good news for this country regardless.

The Democrats aren’t left-wing.
Didn’t say they were in my statement, I only mentioned I was left of centre and inferred the Republicans were on the Right.

That being said, the Democrats are more central than others but ideologically speaking and in general terms, I’d put them just to the Left of centre with some factions further Left and some slipping to the Right.

No idea why I have to caveat a simple statement to appease some eager beaver wannabe know it all but here we are haha.

By our standards, they’re very much a right-wing party too.

I haven’t seen anyone calling anyone thick.

Actually that’s not true, Trump called Harris “low IQ”.

Harris has lost an estimated 6% of the black vote from Biden and 3% of the female vote alone

The reason trump is going to win is more than simply uneducated white people is my point but these are the people that are being singled out because it's the easiest demographic to freely criticise without comeback .

What did Trump do to gain support from those groups? Should Harris have pledged to be even more backwards on abortion than him? Tell more racist jokes than him at rallies?

Why what's he going to do to the poor mate
significantly increase income inequality effectively making the poor and middle class poorer

significantly deregulate labour markets

reduce reproductive rights which disproportionally impacts poor and black people and keeps them poor

increase consumer prices through heightened import tariffs

give more power to his rich cronies

just off the top of my head

"On a gross basis, Biden would increase taxes by $4.4 trillion (an average of 1.19 percent of GDP per year) before reducing taxes by nearly $900 billion through expanded tax credits and preferences (an average of -0.25 percent of GDP per year). Together, the tax changes would increase average annual revenue by 0.94 percent of GDP, which would rank as the 9th largest tax increase since 1940 and the 2nd largest outside of wartime."

It’s hardly being a know it all. I’m just pointing it out that the idea of them being a left wing party is from an American perspective. They’re hardly left of centre for us.
Sorry wasn’t digging you out. More that adding any extra information comes over that way but it’s hard not to as everyone’s post lacks context.
