Our u23s seem to have gone to pot recently. I get our supposed stars have been out all season with Moore and Batanwi, and we've loaned out Obikwu, Rus (permanent move to follow?) and Di Trolio

Seeing our defensive issues I wonder if we'll finally see the legendary Lusala on the pitch

I must admit, Aidan Dausch took me by surprise on the weekend - anyone seen the lad play?

I've noticed the last couple of seasons very little gets released about the U18's. Can almost never find out a line up or who scored about 40% of the goals.

I've got Dausch down as confirmed scoring 8 for the U18's this season, but there's 22 goals I don't know the scorer, so he could have 30 for all I know. Under 21's he's scored 3 in 11 (9) appearances.

Yeah it's very poor. They've even created a cov city academy twitter account but it doesn't release teamsheets or anything just posts a result

Watched him the under 23’s against Bristol City he didn’t get a lot of the ball and was fairly anonymous, but blimey there was a lot of rubbish on that pitch it would be amazing if any make it as pro’s

A number of our academy players have gone down this route in the past. It's a great opportunity for young players and can't believe more don't take up this opportunity.

Cian Tyler posted on Instagram he's had more surgery on his wrist and there is no guarantee it will be successful.

Crikey, that's must have been some injury 🤕 I've broken my wrist in past, not had any problems.

Yeah essentially 12 months out. And more surgery now I assume aiming to be back for pre season.

Bear in mind they said the plan was to send him out to a league 1 team this season, that's a rough year

Do you regularly have objects smashed at you at high speed that you need to stop with your hands?

Yes I did, I was a goalkeeper when I was a teenager, I also broke my rest and had an operation on it.

Back playing after 6 months and in them days the ball's were heavier back then, I'm talking about the late 60s

There are different types of fracture and it is a joint. Some fractures are near the joint rather than in it. Many fractures don't require surgery but some do and that is before you start adding complications like damage to tendons or nerves.

I genuinely hope that some of these youngsters have the ability to push on and make an impression, with us. There’s nothing better than cultivating a young player, and watching him break into the first team. 👏

Admittedly, judging by some comments on this thread, our current crop are more miss than hit.

Genuinely thought Rus and Stretton at least, would be good enough.

Who's not signed up?
As far as I can see the only one of this years crop not signed up was Rylie Siddall, who I heard was offered one and turned it down to go to America.

Bit suprised we did that, given the U18 and U21's were poor last year

im surprised they kept so many, however i think both teams were so bad due to U18's playing in 21's which then has a knock on affect for the 18's. Keeping them on also means we dont need to bring in as many 21's to fill that side out i guess

Evan egosha put on his instagram he's leaving coventry and taking a different path in his career. Played a few pre season games last year and did well

Anyone know the U21 fixtures? Can't find them anywhere. My lad said they were at home this Tuesday against Millwall. Will go if I know where it is.

This from the programme. Might need to zoom in. Bit about the venue in the small print at the bottom...

Great, thanks for that. I'm sure the Club will tweet the venue in the next 24 hours or so.
