I’m gobsmacked by thatOnly just saw the Anderson one for Denmark and thought it was very, very harsh
Under the current rules, obviously a pen. But it shouldn't be. I really don't see that he was trying to make himself bigger in order to stop the cross.
Seemed very harsh.

The point he’s making Pete is that there are certain body movements you do where it isn’t possible to keep your arm locked to the side of your body. So going ‘haha that’s handball, penalty’ for such cases is harsh.I’m gobsmacked by that

And in such a case we can’t be surprised if we start seeing players aim for the opponent’s arm instead of his teammate in the box or the goal itself. It is, but I fear we’ll have to get to a place where any contact with the hand/arm is handball regardless of intent.
And all because of VAR, again. Bin it.It is, but I fear we’ll have to get to a place where any contact with the hand/arm is handball regardless of intent.
I would just urge you to watch the video clip again, Pete. What would be a penalty then?
I do wonder the other way around what would be said
As you say, I expect it will just be Mainoo for Gallagher, but I'd be going with something like this:So how many changes does old Sad Sack make for today’s game?
Now that he has ‘managed’ the group is this the time he changes things around and lets us off the leash? Or keeps it the same with a view of making changes around the 70th min?
I’d like to see 3 changes (Gordon, Palmer and Mainoo for Foden, Saka and Gallagher) but I’m expecting just the one, Mainoo for Gallagher.
I never want to see Alexander-Arnold near an England starting XI again.........As you say, I expect it will just be Mainoo for Gallagher, but I'd be going with something like this:

Still can’t see anything other than Germany winning it.
His hand was out from his body, and was moving towards the ball. However, that was due to momentum rather than deliberate. A penalty was harsh. However I think Germany not getting anything would also not have been fair. An indirect free kick would have been fair IMO.Only just saw the Anderson one for Denmark and thought it was very, very harsh

Said that to my old man last nightI can see a Germany England final
This offside rule has to change, the decision below is technically right with modern technology but for all intents and purposes this is two players standing side by side. Doesn’t seem in the spirit of the game to rule goals out for a boot size up.

200 channels, and nothing but Gordons falling off bikesGordon probably didn’t help his cause by falling off his bike!
Yeah, happy with that.1 change Mainoo in for Gallagher...
Whoever knocks out Spain will win imo; otherwise I'm going for them.I can see a Germany England final
My issue isn't with Mainoo, but the other 10 that have started all 4 games now. Palmer did more in 20 mins than Saka has done all tournament. Bellingham is an amazing footballer but has had 1 good 30 mins in 3 games. Kane has been poor every game.Yeah, happy with that.
One, I like the look of Mainoo and he seemed to take immediately to international football. And two, Gallagher, on the flip side, seems to lack the quality of a tournament player.
What would be great this evening, would be if we could be winning easily and then afford to give Luke Shaw a 10 min or so, run out. See how rusty he is.
