Anyone have any advice on getting tickets out in a host country?

England v Slovenia looking at £200-odd for a ticket which I’d probably pay. Hoping to sort something in Germany at a cheaper rate.

I'm talking about the Slovakia vs Ukraine game in Dusseldorf whilst we are there. Sorry should've been clearer.

Ah that's fair. I'm still trying to cling on for England games.

StubHub has always worked for other events for me so you should be good.

This thread has kicked my arse into gear.

Just messaged a few mates to see if anyone would be interested if we could try to get tickets and the response was overwhelmingly enthusiastic.

There's some pretty good options for games like Slovenia vs Denmark, but it depends if that's your cup of tea or not.

Might get something at a v good rate locally but it’ll be hit and miss. When I was in France for Euro 2016 I went drinking with some Belgian guys and went to Russia v Slovakia the next day. They had a spare ticket which was €155 face value and I had it for €50.

Given the team we put out (1-3 starters depending on injuries and system) we did ok. It was a bit pedestrian but was never really troubled and created some good chances. Eze pretty much got his seat on the plane. Same for Gallagher. It’s going to be a different 11 on Friday given the Cup Final players will be back. Will be interesting to see who plays instead of Jude. That will indicate where he’s going to play him.

They’ll always pop up on the day around face value. In Qatar, Russia and at the last Euros some tickets were sold cheaper than that. Worth remembering that with all tickets being on the app it’s very hard to be scammed in person with a fake ticket. They enter your email and it shows up on your phone straight away. Just be wary if someone says they’ve got a paper one or if it’s a Fans First (cheapest category). They’re for ESTC members only and have to be sent to the original people within the purchasing group or they risk being cancelled or not valid at the turnstile.

I’ll be in Cologne and Frankfurt for our group games and hoping for a ticket, reckon there’s a good chance I won’t get ripped off? 😂

I'd love to see how bad England have to be before you admit they were a bit shit.

Honestly, if you’ve got the annual leave and means to do it, 100% get on it! Flights have turned out reasonably cheap - my flight out £51 and slight back looking to be around £100 - accommodation looking between £45-70 a night atm.
Where did you get the flights at that price, I'm seeing them for north of £200. Not massively expensive but I'm tighter than a Yorkshireman and hate paying over the odds!

I got the last 2 flights tickets from Ryanair departing Birmingham international for £51 (at that price) on the 19th. It was a real spur of the moment thing after 2 beers. Some mates of mine are flying out from Manchester on the 20th or 21st June for about the same price.

Wow really? What dates are your flights and where are you flying from/to?

The best flights booked are always the ones after two beers!

Birmingham to Frankfurt, 19th June. As for the return leg, was looking like a 26th June flight Cologne to Birmingham (late night) for about £98 - hand luggage only.

However, I work for a German company and so may take advantage of the new head office and some working abroad policies to stay out for longer. I haven't decided how long I'll stay out for to be honest.

Correct, gentle encouragement from some friends who'd had a lot more to drink than I was enough to get the ball the rolling. I'd originally earmarked July 1-5th but may need to return.

Going out for the first 2 group games and then presuming that we qualify back for the round of 16, home again until the quarters and will then stay until we’re out.

Ended buying tickets off Viagogo for Solvakia vs Ukraine.

Then checked their reviews and shit myself!

But... tickets have arrived in my UEFA Ticket app today!

I don’t trust Viagogo after my experiences in Euro 2016.

I got Wales v Russia tickets (Russia end), that was good. But my Poland v Portugal tickets were stolen because delivery was not signed for. PayPal had to get my money back which was around £320 for 2 tickets.

Looks as if all tickets are digital this time around. So the original purchaser has just transferred them into my wallet as such.

Was it a smooth process? Hoping to go to a neutral game when I’m in another host city England aren’t playing.

Yeah very smooth for me personally. Found tickets on Viagogo. Paid for them yesterday. Tickets transferred into my UEFA Ticket App today!

I've also learnt today that if you have a match ticket you get various free public transport around the host city from 6am on the day of the match until 6pm the day after! That's very useful to us as we arrive on the morning of the match, so all transport should be sorted!

You need to download both the UEFA Ticket App and the UEFA EURO 2024 OFFICIAL app to access this.

I always felt like Southgate never had any intention of including him.
Where does he fit in? He’s not better than Foden, Palmer or Bellingham and Eze is in better form than him and plays both wings and is probably the more long term option.

My point was that I don't think Southgate has ever really rated him. I don't think other players come into it.

Maguire being out is a big blow. I’d have taken Branthwaite over Dunk personally but I think it will be Stones and Guehi as the first choice back two now.
