Can somebody give me an example of Gareth Southgate changing a game when England were struggling

Yeah. On Sunday, we had an alright start, then were struggling, then complete dross. So he changed us from struggling to shite in the same game.

Kyle Walker wants to take positives.

What positives? We score a goal and spent the rest of the game looking completely lost. Their goal was a good hit that we set up by being crap from our own throw in.

"The manager wants us to play free, attacking football"....SO WHY AREN'T WE, THEN!?

What was Walker going on about there he plays in a Man City team that smashes teams and he thinks that was ok

What a dreadful performance. One of the worst I have seen for quite some time.

It's all on Southgate. 100%.

Kane was poor, Bellingham was poor, Rice was dreadful.

Only Guehl can come out of this with anything like his head held high.

Players are nullifed when they play for England. That has to be on the manager.

As Shearer said, Stones wasn't getting forward into the midfield at any point and we don't play Foden in the right position.

Trippier limits us so much on the left. It's so predictable.

I think we either change the way we play, or we have to drop Harry Kane next time out.

Hardly anything redeeming today. Just so very poor.

The Guehi thing is weird. He's being made out to be some shining light and everyone is parroting each other.

They were all absolutely shit. I genuinely cannot see any exceptions.

Playing a right back in midfield
Taking one injured left back
Bowen over Palmer

Absolute nonsense from Southgate

The one thing in our defence today is the pitch.

The divots in the pitch were awful. The divots coming up for us were very large. For some reason, Denmark's were much smaller.

Hence why, even though there were divots, with ours being that much worse, Denmark could pass the ball much better

Hopefully next time out, it will be our turn for the smaller divots.🤞

The performance isn't even the main concern. They don't look fit. Look at their players at the final whistle compared to ours.
Normally this gets pinned on the English football calendar, but even Kane who plays in a 34 game league with a winter break looked like he was running through treacle.

He played well. He made one really bad mistake and made up for it, by getting the tackle in and saving himself.

I think people are parroting each others because they agree.

He had a decent game.

Christ we’ve got some of the best players in the world and we’re praying for smaller divots

Yeah Guehi was our best player.

Which whilst I agree was not difficult, I thought he was genuinely decent.

A lot of these players simply aren’t as good as people think they are. On technical ability levels it’s crazy how far behind the likes of Germany, Spain, Italy, France we are. It’s the basic shit like not being able to play a 5 yard pass quickly, not being able to turn on the first touch, not being able to play comfortably play pass from difficult balls. Just an unbelievably bad performance.

Southgate has to go as soon as this tournament is over. Tactically he’s got it completely wrong. The Trent experiment is embarrassing.

Surely it cant be hard to set up to attack, Southgates tactics are diabolical. He needs to go he’s overstayed his welcome the FA need to be ruthless and get him gone should have done after Euro 2020, dont get me wrong did a good job but the cracks were starting to show then. We just look toothless, the best attack in world football individually yes as a team are we fuck, midfield spineless, no energy absolutely no guile and worst of all no movement. Defense cant push up because midfield was so deep, Walker and Trippier did they even get up the pitch after the first goal? Kane just doesnt suit the team, with the players behind him any of them can do the passing and deep work that he does we need him up the pitch in the box and pressing backlines, start Watkins next game, Bellingham couldnt create anything because there was fuck all to create for, no movement, pathetic, they all go down far too easily, slight contact drop its just so cringe stay on your feet and fight. Im club before country all the way and by far, no real sentiment to international football but fuck me this is why there’s no desire, fight or passion

Turning my phone. Too many local smart Alecs calling/texting me about these so-called great English players.
Set-up's wrong.
TAA completely out of his depth.
Rice being exposed by the tactics.
Trippier is a joke of a left-back.
Wasting the immense talents of the likes of Foden & Saka. Bellingham was way-off tonight.
Kane thinks he's Rooney and he's not the type of player to be dropping into his own half with his back to goal.
Odd glimpse from Watkins but the none of the other subs were good enough to make any impact on the game.
Why Southgate keeps getting linked with PL jobs is a mystery - his football's all wrong for that.

Yep, spotted a number of players blowing.

No idea how GS survived the Hungary 4-0 loss.

Quarters at best, unless there is more energy, more play on the front foot, and players in their actual positions
