yes he’s giving an opinion with zero basis of fact and you swallowed it hook line and sinker and he’s a desk top analyst not a former defence expert - I disagree with his view - he said the Ukrainian Air Force has great military presence - seriously do better
Your heroes are in bed with Russia.
Do better.
no you can do a search you know
The UK Ministry of Defence has basically said the same at that bloke on twitter.

The UK Ministry of Defence said the Ukrainian resistance has played a role in preventing Russian progression.www.google.com

Yes, but we do challenge our politicians and PM's. We do confront them and we do take them to task on their policies and decisions.Lol Boris Johnson just refused to be interviewed by Andrew Neill
Well that's embarrassing for Grendel.
How many LinkedIn followers though?
ThankfullyI was going to say, just because someone posts quite a lot of tosh, doesn't mean that every single thing they say is tosh.
Happens a lot on here too.
What are your latest thoughts on what should be done?
how on earth is it embarrassing his whole point is that the Ukrainians are going to be on the offensive and be able to attack the Russian forces. They won’t. Every military expert says it’s going to be a formality by the end of the week that the Russians will have control of the capital and if they don’t then the shelling starts
It's definitely not going to be acceptable to the Ukrainians - this will roll on for years yet.The Russian aim will be to deploy a puppet government in the capital - will that be acceptable to the west on the promise of no movement to other countries. It well might be
I would say both.
Western foreign policy - in particular from the Us has been to continue to treat Russia as an enemy and a super power post Gorbachev- so from a Russian perspective the west have continued to punish and kick Russia around while indulging and cosying up to China
Sanctions will be used by Putin as an example again of western interference and suppression and will strengthen many of their resolve as will the isolation strategies
Only if they're idiots.Well despite the expertise on here the Russians have seized the ports and a large proportion of major cities.
They will blockade supplies and continue shelling
they aren’t going anywhere so it’s clear that the west need at least to attempt some settlement - the opportunity has probably already diminished but somehow an agreement to satisfy all parties has to be thrashed out.

I agree up to the west would agreeWell despite the expertise on here the Russians have seized the ports and a large proportion of major cities.

if the west agreed to that it would only be a matter of time before Putin was marching tanks into other countries, emboldened by what has happened in Ukraine.
It would be appeasement that would lead to much, much worse later on.
It's definitely not going to be acceptable to the Ukrainians - this will roll on for years yet.
Not seen anyone say that. I may have missed itAccording to some on here it will be over next week with Putin going home with his tail between his legs
I agree up to the west would agree
The answer will be dialogue
The answer may need a military response
No way in hell Ukraine will accept a puppet government
Not seen anyone say that. I may have missed it
Very true unless someone called putins bluffWell there’s no military response - never happening so in the end we may if the occupation persists just leave them to it and accept the consequences
The more and more I read about it the more I am convinced that Russia are absolutely fucked and Putin has made a huge mistake.
The army is seemingly on the verge of collapse, with untrained troops, poorly maintained and/or old equipment, lack of food and fuel.
The economy is on the verge of collapse.
I wonder if Putin started to genuinely believe his propaganda machine and thought Ukraine would either welcome his army with open arms or would be so weak they'd be destroyed very quickly.
Either way, it was a huge mistake and I don't see any way that Russia can win this war and they will suffer the consequences for a long time.
PVA said they’d be running out of money and withdrawing soon
Which is what many an expert is saying. Russia may well take Ukraine, but simply will be unable to hold it.Please provide a quote where I said they'd be withdrawing soon.
I said the opposite, that they may take Ukraine but won't be able to hold it.

You said the army is on the verge of collapse - so I assume that means they are on the verge of collapse
Who's playing?I'll wait for you to point out where I said they'll be withdrawing soon.
Enough of this shit. People don't want to read your arguments, the thread was much better for those few hours you stayed away.
Football is on now anyway

Even if they take Ukraine, this could be drawn out for quite some time to come.
It only ends in Putin's downfall I feel, but that could be many years away and you have to wonder at what cost.

It exposes the cyber war nonsense as well that Putin wanted Trump in power
Fair enough.I don’t agree
In your typically uninformed opinion, that might be true. US Intelligence meanwhile were very clear about attempted Russian interference.
Russia's Putin authorised pro-Trump 'influence' campaign, US intelligence says

Anyway, remind us again, should we do nothing about Ukraine? Or are you off down Waitrose again to dodge the question?
