He definitely goes in for Eccles - Sheaf is the better player and he’s not replacing O’Hare

Yes they were effective yesterday but more often than not both Sheaf and Eccles in the team is too defensive, and they are very similar players, with Sheaf having the edge in defence, strength and progressive forward play….

I would imagine after a short while Eccles will be a Sheaf back up
You never stop do you? I think we have the message you don't like Eccles by now. Think you'll be disappointed to find Eccles will be playing plenty of matches.

Coat firmly on...

Here's my attempt at crowbarring the Time Warp lyrics to fit 😬

🎶He'll pass to the left
And then he'll pass to the right
Watch where it lands as the ball dips,
Such a tease as he flicks it to Wright,
But it's the upfield burst,
That really drives us insane

Let's do the Vic Torp again
Let's do the Vic Torp again🎶

I’ve never said I don’t like Eccles, and in fact I’ve often said he’s a consistent player and a decent back up / squad member to have - he’s good, but Sheaf is better, and that’s a fact.

My post was merely my opinion that if Torp is to play regularly in midfield he will be in for Eccles - in the same way our regular starters last season were mostly Sheaf and Hamer.

I don’t think that’s particularly controversial is it? 🤔

If Torp is what they hope he is he'll start in place of Eccles more often than not but Eccles will still get plenty of minutes. That's it really.

How attacking do you want us to be? We have 4 in attack, striker, 2 wingers and a CAM. Our full backs bomb on and without two more defensive minded midfielders it would leave us very exposed. Both cover a lot of ground which is exactly what is needed.

That said, Sheaf and Eccles contribute to the attack plenty…they give the ball to the players can create. That’s their job.

Really!!! Love to find Robins interview - cwr - after game! Said he'd trained already and "looked every bit like what he is"...
He did say this. Maybe first day training fully with the first team given they'd be in game prep back end of last week. Or maybe social media team just made an assumption.

Pure social media labelling! Would sound as good if it said "Victor Torp second day"
or robins was chatting whiff or they just had him doing a few drills on his own

believe what you want but he talks about how good it is to get out there today with his team mates so believe what you will

Not watched it, but could video be from last week?

Whoever your source is has you on more than mine 😂

He trained today for the first time

Robins told CWR post match on Saturday that Torp’s clearance hadn’t come through in time for him to be considered for the match day squad but they’d had a look at him on the training pitch and he’d been all they imagined and more.

Obviously he may have been referring to a post-signing workout rather than a full on training session but I can see where the “he’s trained and is incredible” story came from.

Clearance hadn't come through before the game, yes, but Mark Robins went on to say it had at the time of the interview and all good to go.
