Im willing to overlook the pass completion percentages if he is playing passes like that one to MVE last night.
He did one out to MVE in the first half too if I remember, somebody pinged the ball into his feet with a player on him and he played it out wide.
Did really well to not get booked as well (at least I think he didn’t?). Seemed to foul Cantwell about 4 times and also various other little niggly fouls on other players to disrupt them. You often need that in away games and we haven’t done any of that stuff for so long.

It’s better than stat padding with tippy tappy passes that go 3-5 yards to the nearest player. If his shot creating actions and expected assists were low and passing % low, I’d be worried. In the event, he’s excellent at getting the ball in dangerous areas for assists.
Pass completion % can be misleading.
Also think Lampard has identified that he has raw ability but has got him working on the more physical side of midfield playThink he’s another beneficiary of 3ATB personally. The less defensive responsibility he has in the middle of the pitch, the better he generally looks.

Nice to see what I’ve been saying about Torp for a while come to fruition.Allen hasn't played enough to feature on this

Tell Doug we need a player in the top left hand quarter to complete that top 6 deck.
Something just feels right about having Eccles as the pure neutral in the dead centre of that graph.
Interesting when the consensus has generally been that our midfield has been poor this season.
Can see him going in the summer. Frank doesn't seem to fancy him
I think ALL the stats point to our season being one of poor finishing and conceding silly goals .
The team are not anywhere near as bad as some would have you believe
Would be an unbelievably short-sighted decision imoCan see him going in the summer. Frank doesn't seem to fancy him
We were going to shift Kitching until he had a run of games. Eccles to be fair has been poor recently but that’s just temporary bad form I think. Can see him going in the summer. Frank doesn't seem to fancy him
Torp and Rudoni are both excellent players.Allen hasn't played enough to feature on this

The consensus on here is often nonsense. Our problems this season have been in the two penalty areas.Interesting when the consensus has generally been that our midfield has been poor this season.
Exactly , we have missed the most big chances in the entire divisionThe consensus on here is often nonsense. Our problems this season have been in the two penalty areas.
I don’t even think he’s been bad at all, but he’s currently the fifth choice CM so I can see him being moved on.We were going to shift Kitching until he had a run of games. Eccles to be fair has been poor recently but that’s just temporary bad form I think.
He would have a lot of takers and I wouldn’t want him gone.I don’t even think he’s been bad at all, but he’s currently the fifth choice CM so I can see him being moved on.

The fact he's been sub recently in a team lacking first choice midfielders does actually back that upCan see him going in the summer. Frank doesn't seem to fancy him
It backs up he doesn't fancy him in a 3 CB formation at bestThe fact he's been sub recently in a team lacking first choice midfielders does actually back that up
He’s started in five games and been subbed on in seven since Lampard came in.As the season has shown we need the depth so it feels unlikely to me that he'll move on.
For a player that Lampard doesn't fancy he's appeared in every game Lampard's managed in the league and started more games than he hasn't. He's been shifted out of the starting 11 since the switch to the 3-5-2, so it might well just be tactical.
Can always do it as a test for the last twenty or ten if we are comfortableI'd like to see Eccles as the 6 with Rudoni and Torp as the two 8s pushing on in front of him
Although having said that Allen is the best player in the team atm as has been said on his thread
Allen is the glue in that midfield 3 atm. He covers a lot of distance, picks up a lot of second balls and is tidy in possession.I'd like to see Eccles as the 6 with Rudoni and Torp as the two 8s pushing on in front of him

Thing is he has ALWAYS been really good at playing simple, non-flashy football at this level, but fans don't seem to value that as much as managers doAllen is the glue in that midfield 3 atm. He covers a lot of distance, picks up a lot of second balls and is tidy in possession.
He hasn’t been flash, it’s been solid all around in his game and compliments Rudoni and Torp nicely.
