Interestingly a lot of the stats based websites had him as our worst player v Blackburn. (e.g. Blackburn Rovers vs Coventry City live score, H2H and lineups | Sofascore). I'm not really sure what to make of that information but there it is.I'd like to see Eccles as the 6 with Rudoni and Torp as the two 8s pushing on in front of him
Although having said that Allen is the best player in the team atm as has been said on his thread
That’s probably why he signed a new contract to get something for him.Can see him going in the summer. Frank doesn't seem to fancy him

I think it's because a lot of the good work Allen does for us is off the ball, and these stats don't recognise that.Interestingly a lot of the stats based websites had him as our worst player v Blackburn. I do mostly agree (especially with the first bitThe consensus on here is often nonsense. Our problems this season have been in the two penalty areas.
Yeah, I did wonder if that's a part of it. Stats also struggle to show how the midfield works as a unit rather than as individuals. Also worth pointing out that although he has been our poorest rated player in the last 2 games they are not terrible scores. It is a result of everyone else on our side scoring much higher than they normally do... which tells its own story.I think it's because a lot of the good work Allen does for us is off the ball, and these stats don't recognise that.
Like they don't recognise if someone's positioning is poor, etc.
They're useful, but only up to a point.
I think Robins said about him that he understands and follows tactical instructions very wellThing is he has ALWAYS been really good at playing simple, non-flashy football at this level, but fans don't seem to value that as much as managers do
Really surprising as you'd think his style would yield good stats regardless of subjective perceived performance!Interestingly a lot of the stats based websites had him as our worst player v Blackburn. Are you sure you're on the right forum @SkyBlueSam01 ? 'subjective perceived performance'Really surprising as you'd think his style would yield good stats regardless of subjective perceived performance!

Revert him back to right back sell mve and we pocket 10mCan see him going in the summer. Frank doesn't seem to fancy him
Petty point scoring....Nice to see what I’ve been saying about Torp for a while come to fruition.
That's fair - just would've though high pass completion and number and stats similar to thatNo xRunningAboutALot stat
He doesn’t tend to dribble tackle head or play progressive balls. He’s very good at making himself available and making quick short passes but that doesn’t get you much.
Apart from making your midfield unit more cohesive. No xRunningAboutALot stat

Apart from it does though
You realise I’m talking about statistics here right?
No he's always been there, that's been clear to anyone that cared to look past the stupid comments on here.Okay where the fuck has this player been. The turnaround has been phenomenal.
Course it’s just the confidence and most of all the tackles he’s putting in.No he's always been there, that's been clear to anyone that cared to look past the stupid comments on here.
Just wanted to highlight what I said in October, the lads brilliant and just needed a run of games to get used to the league. He's definitely good enough. That finish on his weak foot. I couldn't see what we needed to change today, we were the better team but somehow ended up 2-0 down. Torp comes on scores a wonderful goal and we win 3-2. Coincidence?
Definitely. The consensus on here is often nonsense. Our problems this season have been in the two penalty areas.
Today I saw Torp, dribble, head the ball, tackle and make progressive balls. MoMNo xRunningAboutALot stat

Short term fix. Not knocking him as he's been excellent recently in a 3-5-2.Hands up the nobheads who wanted Jamie Allen moved on. He had two major injuries last season and struggled with fitness. Everything on here is so short term.
Written off a few years ago then came back brilliantly.
So many posters saying we need experience and leadership in midfield. Hello, Jamie Allen.
