I'm also not sure what benefit to him leaving this last minute would have for us. We would have about 12 hours to sort a deal out with the additional funds, and I would imagine we have learned from the Kitching fiasco last year that we don't want to rush our spend (not a slight on Kitching, just believe we overpaid). It would suit us as well / better to him to go early in January (unlikely) or early next summer so we can plan.
Agree on point 1, but on point 2, if we're just opening negotiations and they know we have a windfall from a large Vik windfall, then we are going to have to pay over and above.I would have thought that a sale in this window would be preferable giving us 4 months to plan ahead. Alternatively we could have a purchase already lined up that could be acted on quickly.
I read that in a Sean Connery voice.Sporting have drawn Man City and Arsenal at home in the Championsh League. Perfect opportunity for him to put himself in the shop window.
I tried that but felt I was lapsing into a Steve McLaren.I read that in a Sean Connery voice.
Let’s see if Chelsea make a move for Vik now
Hope so because they’ll overpay

I imagine he’s being handsomely compensated for his stupidity. That’s a pretty stupid move at his age.
I don’t doubt it but it’s not like he’d have been on peanuts at Chelsea and will have likely improved further as a player.I imagine he’s being handsomely compensated for his stupidity.
Anyone under 30 going to that league cannot be taken seriously. Playing in front of a few hundred every week in glorified exhibition matches. That’s a pretty stupid move at his age.
True but it doesn’t seem to work like that does it. People love more money!I don’t doubt it but it’s not like he’d have been on peanuts at Chelsea and will have likely improved further as a player.
Shame really as his value only decreases now.
I can get behind this. Every team has a whipping boy. I guess Eccles won't be going to Saudi any time soon then.I think the most memorable moment is when a fan started whipping a player
650 k a week tax free is tempting at any age.Anyone under 30 going to that league cannot be taken seriously. Playing in front of a few hundred every week in glorified exhibition matches.

The obscene amount Saudi clubs pay in wages is difficult to ignore.
Gay porn pays obscene amounts yet I manage to avoid it.
Don’t pretend like you’ve had loads of offers, it’s not big enough mate.
There’s no way I’d live and work in Saudi Arabia for any amount of money.650 k a week tax free is tempting at any age.

JDS would have been red raw if this had been in place last season.Choose the poorest playing player from first half and have a public flogging:
Whip it for a ticket?
