I just think people talking bollocks on a subject they clearly know nothing about should make an effort to be better informed.
Good luck with your “several sources of information” but it might be better to read something factual next time.

You could apply your own rules…..still, it doesn’t alter the fact that most transfer fees are paid over years. Let me know if you need better information. More than happy to help. And please calm down. We all support the same side

Not sure he is the risking kind.

Thank goodness!

No doubt we all welcome investment in the playing staff and club facilities but I don’t want anyone gambling with its future.

We have had enough of that in the past and the two administrations nearly finished us off.

The early signs are that with DK we have had the best owner we have had in a very long time.

I have to be blunt and say that the worst owners we have had were Richardson and Robinson. They caused the damage, not SISU the sticking plaster.

Agree though that no owner should jeopardise the future of our club through reckless spending

What a negative person you are. “Weak European league “ ? I think a good few players have played in that league and made a good name for themselves.
I'm not particularly negative, and you are right about good players coming from it, but for a striker there are a lot of teams where you can fill your boots.

I look forward to you telling me what I have said that is incorrect or ill-informed. Or are you just one of those people who believe in “alternative facts”, no matter what the evidence?

Gabriel Jesus injured, Nkietah to Forest looking positive, Gyokeres with a hat trick at the weekend, Oshimen looks more likely to Chelsea… fingers crossed this could happen

Porto doing their best to weaken Sporting by buying an Arsenal midfielder for £25-£30m,unless I have it back to front?

Nketiah finally on the verge of moving to Palace. Suspect if Arsenal are going to move for Viktor it will be now...

Think there's another chap at Napoli they're fighting it out with Chelsea according to the blurb,€100m as well!

Could work out in our favour possibly if Arsenal jumped in for Osimhen. Chelsea would have to look elsewhere and probably would be more likely to pay the full whack for Gyokeres. Fingers crossed.

You can differ as much as you want, but you’re factually incorrect in saying payment terms affect how the value is written off. Of course transfer fees might well be funded over years but that’s not the point. The point is that from an accounting (and thus PSR) perspective the value of the player is written off in equal amounts annually over the length of the contract, i.e. if a transfer fee is £10m and the player has a five year contract it will be written off (amortised) at £2m per year for 5 years. It has nothing to do with payment terms; payment terms have no relevance to the club accounts or for PSR, they just affect the club’s cash flow.

I suggest you listen to “The Price of Football” pod by Kevin Maguire, an accountant who teaches football finance at the Uni of Liverpool and is the UK’s foremost authority on amortisation in football. That will you “learn” you a lot too.
Depends if the write off is on a reducing balance or straight line basis which is permissable either way

You don’t have to react so badly. I have read several sources of information. And to be honest, I don’t care. Because the main thrust of my original comment is that most transfer fees are structured over years. But you take care now ;)
I think you're being over-sensitive if you think that's a bad reaction.

That Napoli striker is being chased by Saudi now so it could leave just Vik the viable option for a number of clubs.

My brother is a Napoli fan(Fuck if I know how or why haha) but anyway he says Osimhen is being a bit of a bitch about things(Well his agent mainly) so not sure if a Saudi move will actually happen. Also, not sure how Torp would fit into a Conte side.

Regardless, I hope he stays with us.

I’d be gutted if he ended up at Chelsea

From a Coventry City POV, I obviously want him to go to whichever team will pay the highest fee as it's best for us, but I also personally really cannot stand the thought of him playing at somewhere like Chelsea or Arsenal
