Many years ago I was flying back from New Zealand and decided to listen to some music via the headphones. Anyway I started listening to Revolver, and then fell asleep for several hours. The album re-looped until a different channel was selected, and when I woke I must have got addicted to it because for months after the songs were going through my head each morning when I woke. I had to come off it slowly by listening to other music before going to sleep.
Ironic, but a true story.

When you woke up on the plane and you looked at the air stewardess and....

She said
I know what it's like to be dead
I know what it is to be sad
And she's making me feel like I've never been born......

I didn't expect a bite but worth a try 😆 Yes I agree fairly common practice. But we move on and I am feeling positive about the future. I still think the upward trajectory can be maintained.

Actually more irony, this is my favourite song on the album

Here's my tuppence worth.
I've been around the block now at 66. In my twenties I used to work for Hertz renta-a-car, and I watched Girls slowly promote themselves up the ladder. They had no sense of duty to the firm, only themselves. It was obvious to all but the men in the company around the age of mid 50's, who seemed to inexplicably take a shine to these good looking ladies and, consequently, obeyed their every wish.
A Woman would have absolutely no clue how Man-Management works in a Blokes Locker Room.
Forget promotion this year. Just hope to stay up.
Can’t say that I remember Carry On Rent-a-Car, did it come before Carry On Doctor or after.

I'm no ITK or anything but my the son of my mates boss is best friends with a player. Won't say who. This player said Adi was a bit of a bully and some of the players really couldn't stand him. Apparently Sheaf had threatened to leave. A him or me kind of thing.

True? Dunno. Take with a pinch of salt, but I can imagine Adi being...er...set in his ways and inflexible maybe. Who knows.

Obviously workplace bullying isn't a laughing matter, but no one player is bigger than the club either. Especially one that could do with checking his own ability as captain. Many players have said the positive impact Adi has had on them and name drop him constantly, so I wouldn't necessarily take anyone's word for gospel. It could easily be that he gets held to account, doesn't like it, and as currently in a bit of an elevated position, has then played on that. There's two sides to every story, and it sounds like perhaps one of those sides were taken if what you're saying is true.

There's an easy solution anyway. Transfer list Sheaf for high treason and get a proper captain in. It's been a massive downfall for us, and getting rid of Adi doesn't solve that. It is also not going to be good having someone around who has demanded the sacking of someone and then made threats to leave if he doesn't get his own way. The money would be better reinvested in my opinion anyway.

Been reading on here for a few years now.

I've never been able to work out if you're a parody or not.

If this is true Ben Sheaf has shown incredible leadership credentials and should be offered a new contract that is fitting of his immense importance to this squad both from a technical and moral standpoint.

We get more points when he doesn't play than when he does. Playing him as captain is like a reverse Uno card, and not in a good way. Unfortunately the blind attachment some people have to him is causing a downfall to us as a team. You've laughed at my post, but this is utterly delusional.

If what Torch says is true, please tell me some good counter arguments for what I've written.
If what was alleged is true, then the only counter argument required is that workplace bullying needs to be stamped out wherever it is found, and its perpetrators held to account.

Not rating Sheaf is baffling to anyone who's watched us play, but doesn't make you weird or appear parodic per se; saying stuff like 'Transfer list Sheaf for high treason', though, really fucking does.

The high treason comment is clearly a joke.

As for the rest of it, you haven't made a single counter-argument for any point I raised. Just meaningless waffle and sentiment.

You also have the cheek to accuse other people of being a parody account, whilst calling yourself 'Shannerz'. Fuck off.

Not saying it is. I've never claimed to have inside info and I'm being told something third hand, so a big pinch of salt is needed. Like I said originally, who knows? Doubt we ever will.

I know this may come across a bit conspiracy theory, but when you're advertising for a new Head of First Team coaching (whose role sounds familiar to that of an Asst Manager) with a short application date, just weeks after an apparently extensive review and a lengthy recruitment of two new first team coaches, and also just AFTER you start pre-season training when you've had all summer to do so suggests to me this was not part of the planning.

What has happened I don't know but it does suggest Adi was not expected to leave, so perhaps he was unhappy with the new setup and the differences were unreconcilable.

I laughed at your post because you took the opportunity of unsubstantiated gossip about Sheaf to build on your rhetoric you have against him. I just responded sarcastically with the extreme opposite of your opinion.

Regardless, we're better with Sheaf in the team and I'd assume Robins agrees else he'd have demonstrated that same ruthlessness we've seen plenty of times over the last 7 years to sell him on and replace with better

That is the other possibility. And with it brings all the rumours and speculation as to why.

I can't help but feel that if it was due to the review and wanting to go in a different direction then we'd have interviewed for head of first team coaching when we interviewed the two new coaches.

But at the same time it is was for bullying/unpopularity with the younger players it again would have been sorted during the summer and his replacement already employed before pre-season given that he left before pre-season started so it can't be a recent conduct issue with the players.

So then it's have we missed out on signings because players have been warned off because of his methods? I think that has more likelihood than the others but still a little bit of overthinking. Even then, if it was the case surely we'd have seen some of those players sign since his departure?

Whatever it is I'm not buying it being part of the coaching review.

Doesn't really matter what any of us thing, the club made a decision and that's basically it. Man leaves job and someone will take his place .

When you were allowed multiple people on the touchline during games it made sense to have an 'assistant manager' barking at players etc.

Since the rule change, all the assistant manager can do is coach so makes sense to change the name and nature of the role I suppose.

I was amazed that clubs didn't register their coaching staff as players, could have Adi walk down the touchline as his warm up and just bark orders all game

You can laugh all you want, but your second paragraph is factually incorrect. Until that's taken on board we will struggle to move forward. It doesn't matter how ruthless a manager is either, they still make mistakes and they still have favourites, even someone as good as Robins.

It’s factually incorrect if you’re basing your opinion solely off win percentage with vs win percentage without which fails to take into account things like quality of opposition, form, other injuries and suspensions etc.

You’d get laughed out of the room if you were part of a recruitment/analytics department and tried to use win percentage with and against as part of any sort of serious analysis.
