Thanks Jan. imaging bar 2-3 clubs there wasn't a great lot of difference between the top 14-16 revenues?

Just for clarification all clubs know what each one has in terms of revenue and thereby their player budget. The FL collects all the revenue figures from the clubs and publishes it for them all to see - the names of the other clubs are deleted but it doesn't take too much detective work to work out who most of them are. The report is published in bar chart format showing the different areas of income for each club ie ticket sales, owner investment, off field income etc. At an SCG meeting (March I think) Fisher was showing this to the meeting and CCFC was in about 8th place from memory. Obviously this shows revenue received, it does not show amount actually spent on wages etc and Waggott did admit during the meeting that we did not spend our full allowed allowance, keeping around 5% back. This is a confidential internal document for the FL clubs which is why CCFC cannot publish it - not even sure if Fisher should have been showing it but he was trying to prove a point about off field income and why we needed our own stadium etc etc
Ah well I guess as this particular balloon has been punctured you will move to something else now.
Thanks Jan
That's great to know and fairplay to the club for letting you see it.
Do if we are 8th in revenue?
Does that just mean if everybody spends to the maximum they are allowed then we would be 8th in budget as well?
I would have to assume so although I would not swear that it was exactly 8th but it was around that - there is some wriggle room when it comes to SCMP that Steve Brookfield expanded on because as with everything financial and to do with the FL there is an awful lot of grey areas and "at the discretion of" areas - he said basically that the what can be included as allowable revenue for SCMP is an ongoing negotiation process. I have no doubt that as we are one off the best supported clubs in the division we have a decent budget for this division as no one (except Walsalls massive carboot sale income - I kid you not amd teams like Bristol who's owner injected large amount of money) had vast earnings aside from gate receipts. The trick is not what you spend but what you spend it on and in Mowbray I think we have someone who will unearth a few gems, bring through some of the better youngsters and even resurrect the careers of some of the forgotten men like Connor Thomas. In my opinion we will not be challenging for promotion this year but building steadily for a push the following season.
I am hoping for two strikers and a winger
And an experienced GK with LB going out on loan
I think the later is more important than some give it credence
Mad for that fact you are. Thought it was your signature for a bitI think if we don't at the very least challenge for promotion it will be a poor showing. We were about 6 wins off last season and had 5 defeats by clubs below us and we finished 17th.

Thats an important stat for me. As poor as we were for the majority of last season if we'd managed to beat 5 teams who finished below us we would have been challenging for the play offs. Just goes to show how poor this division is generally.
I disagree tbh. In the long run, 3 points is 3 points, regardless of where they are in the table.
Bristol City also lost to 5 teams below them in the table, therefore we are as good as Bristol City
Indeed 3 points are 3 points but surely it should be easy to pick up 3 points from teams at the bottom of the table than teams at the top?
Agreed it's a ridiculous point
