Wasn't he just stating the obvious? Not too sure what the big issue was

The income is limited to 23 days a year and only a small percentage. We don't get direct shirt sales only a percentage.

Other clubs have 365 day income from their stadium or at least the ability to get it.

We had the ability to get it. But SISU risked the whole thing to get a couple of million off the price while wasting a lot on litigation.

Fucking hell is this thread still going on.

He stated the obvious, he didnt do it in a way that pleased some people, the club reacted and have tried to appease those who were upset.

FFS move on. Some people need to get a grip of what real upset is, and not from some run of the mill statement from the club.

Waggott was stating the obvious, but if he has any idea he'd know that the majority of our fans are sensitive little lambs and would have been better off keeping quiet.

It has put a slight downer on the season for me as I have 'invested' in a season ticket and am now hearing we won't be signing as much as expected. Still fired up for Saturday though.

He was, and we've had 18 pages of moaning following on from it. Pretty pathetic tbh.

Pathetic is SW role in this current page of the clubs history,, but if you think he is doing a fantastic job then good luck in 4 years time with him... The club like some felt like he was putting the blame on stay away fans for not being able to compete.. If you want to keep saying more numbers mean more money, as why people have posted then you are looking at it wrong..

Everybody knows that,, he stated the obvious and in my opinion nothing wrong in saying it,, i do take exception to a comment about 15% less means not being able to compete,, he has spouted for more than a few year we have a top 6 budget....Where and why is that now different,, even at NTFC he was saying top budget ,, someone is pulling our pants down don't you think...Or you just going along with those who want to skip past why fans are concerned about what he said, other than the obvious...

Are you surprised hill83 ?

No. I knew we wouldn't sell enough season tickets.

That's definitely not what people want to hear hence the uproar but that's it.
Sisu have cut the club off, we knew this. Unfortunately it's as simple as that and the buck stops with us now.
So no, I'm not surprised at all.

Honestly.....we know why, Jan explained why after the SCG. Sisu are no longer prepared to fund us, therefore the club has to use the income it generates to fund itself. They have prepared the budget based on ST sales and matchday ticket predictions/forecasts, and have lowered prices and signed Mowbray and given him control of the budget. Now the we are not meeting targets, the budget is going to have to be squeezed until cashflow comes in. OSB has summed it up pretty well. Waggott was not blaming fans, he was just reiterating the importance of ticket sales were in having a competitive budget and signing the players Mowbray wants. No one is appeasing Waggott, no one is saying he is doing a good job. the fact is lower revenue = lower budget = less competitive team. It is not rocket science. Yes we can argue about the chicken and egg, but the fact is the club is now having to be self sustaining and ticket sales are the main source of income.

God help the club if it ever becomes fan owned.

You didn't call him a cheeky nickname or a c**t. I might need to edit my post or people will think I'm popping round his for a massage tonight.

Unfortunately he is accountable to Sisu, not us, and we can only assume he is meeting the objectives that they have asked of him, which is why he is still here. :(

If Waggot left tomorrow, what would be different? Sisu will still not fund us, Sisu will still be taking CCC to court, Sisu will still be insisting on the new stadium charade, there would still be no more money for signings, he'd just get replaced by another (m/p)uppet. :(

The playing budget is based on 11, 000 fans at home gates highly unlikely to happen unless we start really well.£2:5 mmillion apparently which is only £50:000 a week not a lot of money so I think another struggle on our hands this season.

What difference does SISU taking CCC to Court make ?

TM has said he has money for signings - but he is not wasting it people he does not want to satisfy the likes of you

They also need access to the ground and the extra facilities - just look at the Southend debacle
