Would make senseA claim on Drunken Wasps that someone - I assume Richard Overson - paid for the pitch repairs
I don't swear much unless I'm really angry, but I'm extremely happy with their demise. They can fuck off.Haha
Well, whaddya know?We could never be so lucky.
I have the distinct impression, as a near-lifetime follower of both CCFC and CRFC, that this whole sorry saga has some distance in its legs yet.
I'd be very happy to be proven wrong; today, preferably, but I'm not counting any chooks yet.
It was like a new toy at Xmas but the initial excitement has worn off and hopefully is heading towards the bin quickly

Little did I know at the time that this thread would run for four bloody years. I’d of wished it hadn’t as it would of meant the bastards would of gone earlier.
The reason why they failed was simply the Coventry public already had two sporting clubs that bore this city’s great name and represents the people of Coventry.
How dare they rock up with a ‘we’re here now….roll up, roll up’ attitude.
The Coventry public won. Well done everyone (inc Grendel).
Always amazes me how these people completely fuck up and just walk into another executive level role
It is a shame. I saw the enthusiasm for the game during the Commonwealth Games. They were pawns in Wasps efforts to establish themselves as a sports club. It seems that there is no appetite for this with any new owner. I think the CCFC is the only show in town. SISU may already have sold to Ashley, contingent on him acquiring the stadium and all assets. Not really news to anyone but now official. Wasps netball done. Bet the side that got kicked out of the SuperLeague to make way for Wasps aren't too happy that they lost their own team for nothing.
Someone's not happy.
has the penny finally droppedSomeone's not happy.
