It’s all looking good for Ashley. I think SISU’s business cycle curve is going to go into free fall. Recession on the way, fewer discretionary sales for a while, f and b downturn. There is some talk of a separate refinance to them which again is on his terms as the preferred bidder. Also they have security over assets with wasps holdings so the trustee can claim secured assets there
Ashley can take considerable time to purchase the football club. In the meantime he gets assured revenue through the clubs sub lease. He would I’m sure not be adverse to wasps playing as well. He will look to maximise revenue through the stadium initially. He can wait years to buy the club if he wants and can wait until it’s value is driven down - he never buys things without looking at profit
Aside from the debt it’s trying to service as part of WHL. As a stand alone business it breaks even/makes a small profit consistently. We’re talking about thousands maybe tens of thousands, not hundreds of thousands or millions.It says that ACL is already profitable?

I think if something was happening that would jeopardise their position like Ashley trying to distress the club to get it on the cheap then they’d be putting out statements saying how they’d been screwed over.I can’t see em making any statement until it’s done and dusted. The performance on the pitch in recent years has taken the focus away from their horrendous mismanagement, but it won’t continue indefinitely. After the likes of Sheaf, Hamer, Gyokeres and O’Hare have departed, I predict that we will drop like a stone. There’s no evidence to suggest that MR will be given any money to continue ‘the model’ that served us so well after promotion.

Can’t see the P Share issue being resolved sufficiently quickly to reduce the debt owed to Bondholders.
Ie. Why would the Trustees take their charge over the lease away for less than £35m whilst the P Share is being sorted.

Personally i think she will find it hard to play hard ball against someone who swims in the same pool and is arguably a bigger fish. If terms of lease kept to going to be hard to play hardball
She has stopped funding for the team already and I think we all expect star players to be sold so for the supporters what's going to change.

If he wants us, he will get us - think he would get bored making SISU squirm for years to save himself a few million. If he has a project/aspirations to do something with us, I'd have thought he'd want to get on with it, albeit he seems like he'd be a canny poker player (hidden aces up his sleeve etc)

I know people will look at Sunderland going for £40m and say we aren't worth as much but buying CCFC and the Ricoh for more than that is an exciting project. The Ricoh is the most unique stadium in the country with the complex attached. CCFC are also a club with huge potential, great location in the country, big city and catchment area.
Wouldn't take much to become a local hero here.
