I always thought that neither CCC or Higgs have ever taken a dividend as they were reinvesting all profits back into the project and therefore the surrounding area and therefore the city of Coventry. The heartless bastards.
Don't find it a little bit hypocritical though after all the spouting about clubs should be in their home town representing, franchising is wrong etc. Coventry should be in Coventry etc?
I would if our owner was a credible perspective owner. On the other hand if people want to sell for other financial reasons then they find an owner simples.
Not sure if this is a business investement or a potential franchise relocation myself Nick.
So where does it sit on your priorities
TF is telling the truth SISU are building a stadium in let's say Hinckley.
Wasps will do fair business with ACL and buy half their share.
A children's charity get their money back which is spent on deprived children.
Not sure you should be telling others to have a hard think about their priorities unless your need for CCFC to be within the Coventry boundary is more than the need of a deprived kid.
Most of the Charity’s funds are invested on the stock market however where possible the Trustees are keen to invest their funds in Coventry.

What project? How exactly has that benefited the surrounding area and the city of Coventry in general?
No more hypocritical that people who paid to go and watch Coventry "home" games in Northampton now start moaning about ACL talking to an out of town club wanting to play its home games in Coventry and then playing the hypocrites card.
Aside from which, I'm surprised that you're commenting on this thread. After all, no one from ACL, Higgs, CCC or Wasps comments on this site do they and that was always your excuse, sorry reason for not criticising SISU on here.
Off the top of my head.
The whole sight, not just the arena. You've obviously failed to notice but every time there's an event on at the Ricoh it tends to bring people and their money from outside the area into Coventry. It's also no longer the eye saw of a derelict gas works.
So tell me, how is it not benefiting Coventry?
The ricoh does benefit the city of Coventry at times for sure. High profile bands here must bring in people from all over the country and I sure many of those are eating in our restaurants and drinking in our pubs etc.
When there are concerts on it most certainly raises our profile as a city.
Not sure why people keep giving it the children's charity line:
http://www.higgscharity.org.uk/what-we-do/
99% of charities are good causes so I am not doubting them and that they do help children, but people make out like there are kids starving because of it.
One of the most unsettling things was when we came back to the Ricoh. All positivity and smiling faces to be had and a great feeling of relief, but one of the first things said upon our return was the intention to state once again that the club will be building a new stadium.
Really took the wind right out of our sails, that.

I seriously doubt anyone said that?
I once thought their main activity was to help underprivileged children in the (fabled) Coventry Area, but they have much wider remit, however it is probably more down to lack of research that people bring up the children's charity angle than anything else, I hope you can accept that.
Apparently Cov Rugby Club have said on the PA system that the Council have said they will have a say in the Wasps situation but not heard anything else.
I am not saying they don't help children, I said "make out" which is what people do when they wheel out the "deprived children" line.
Well in future don't make statements to 'make out' that people are saying what they are not. #hypocrite
People are making out like it is / giving the impression it is harming children or making them go without, hence the deprived line

So SISU distressing one of the Higgs Assets and forcing them to Crown Court which I can only imagine increases your legal bill is giving to a charity that helps children?
And even if they were a charity that didn't help children would that make SISU's actions OK? No, I didn't think so. So your petty little argument about who Higgs does or doesn't help really is just that. Petty. A normal person would just let it go, not point score of someones misunderstanding of what type of charity Higgs are.

At the end of the day though fellas as long as ACL do alright out of it I don't really mind.
Just got back home from the BPA, a cracking win for Coventry. They did make an announcement pre game over the tannoy explaining the clubs position on the speculation and that they are talking to the council about the approach. In short, they have no problem with big European ties where extra capacity and facilities are required but will quite rightly oppose anything permanent.

Still seems a little odd tbh, to have a team pop in to a random city for a European game... especially as they come from a city hardly short of grounds!

Exactly, there's a lot of stadiums in and around London and between London and us.
