We could have a SBT jolly boys outing.I don’t want this to be true and personally cannot see them playing in the championship at the CBS.
Maybe they will, maybe they’re so arrogant they think their ‘Global Brand’ will pull crowds regardless of the division.
I’d be up for going to Wasps vs Cov at the CBS if they do mind you, and just continuously sing anti wasps songs. Pricks.

I'm genuinely surprised after it has been proven comprehensively that the public in this area is not interested in them
Let's face it, Richardson did Ashley a favour....I wouldn't be surprised if they end up staying but like you say, I just cannot see it working?
Can't see Mike Ashley/Fraser Group doing them a special favour with stupidly low rent, and attendances are going to be at a record low so surely they'll be back to massive losses again?
ExactlyWe will never know what handshakes went on to ensure MA ended up as the preferred bidder.
Why? Why would they want to stay in Coventry? That’ll be financial suicide to try and stay in Coventry? This type of shit from wasps demonstrates the amateur thought process behind everything they have done so far.Ben Rumsby of The Telegraph reporting that Wasps are negotiating a deal to stay at the CBS Arena.
A couple of thousand wouldn’t be much different to this season to be fair. There’s some paranoia here
Championship rugby vs Premier League is similar to Football premier league Vs League two
Crowds would be a couple of thousand at best. There is very little income and Ealing in particular would be huge versus wasps so no automatic recovery at all. Salaries are a fraction so no ability to attract premier players and they have zero credibility here in terms of credit worthiness
Grendel missed the point that the city already has a championship club too .A couple of thousand wouldn’t be much different to this season to be fair.
I'd certainly hope they got less than CovGrendel missed the point that the city already has a championship club too .
They'd get less than now
I’d hazard a guess they’d pay by standWhy? Why would they want to stay in Coventry? That’ll be financial suicide to try and stay in Coventry? This type of shit from wasps demonstrates the amateur thought process behind everything they have done so far.
Let’s look at the facts facing them….
1. Gates would be 5-6k for the first game slowly slipping down to approx 2.000.
2.Empty stadium every other week.
3. How do they pay the rent. You can’t have CCFC paying £150,000 per year and that load of old shite £25,000. That’s not fair even if they have less games. The heating and power would cost a significant % and burn any profit away.
4. Why would Ashley have the noise and next to minimum profit from them being here?
5. Even as premiership side there was little or no interest in them being here. That’s a cold fact. Why would this new clubs new owners want to be in Coventry? It’s a bizarre strategy when the support wasn’t there before?
The pitch element of the fee would have to be at least the same as for the football, as would dressing rooms. So one stand open would / should not equal a quarter of the cost.I’d hazard a guess they’d pay by stand

Maybe that's where the story is coming from but surely the RFU would make an exception. After all they had no problem with them moving half way across the country in the middle of a seasonThey may be being forced to be stay at the CBS arena as RFU rules require a phoenix club to do so. Utter madness when ownership of the facility has been lost and it was buying the facility that lead to Wasps downfall.
There’s one insect lover in Nuneaton to the contraryI'm genuinely surprised after it has been proven comprehensively that the public in this area is not interested in them
I don’t think it was FG who took the signs down, the firm who did so were on the list of creditors and may simply have repossessed them. Having said that, there is apparently a debranding manager.Do you think FG would have taken ALL the Wasp signs down if they were on their way back also do you think Ashley would worry about what the RFU think I reckon that would be like a red rag to a bull.
Probably more to do with the sign companies owned tens of thousands.Do you think FG would have taken ALL the Wasp signs down if they were on their way back also do you think Ashley would worry about what the RFU think I reckon that would be like a red rag to a bull.
93k if I remember correctly.Probably more to do with the sign companies owned tens of thousands.
Blimey, I’ll keep my eye open at the Furnace End car boot market for them.93k if I remember correctly.
I’d say Coventry Street just up the road from Piccadilly Circus would be ideal. There are better alternatives for them in the Coventry area maybe they could play at the boro ground as that is more than big enough for them.
Do “new” Wasps exist yet ?
Wasps was never about what's right, what's wrong, or what works.
It's been an absolute horror show from the first minute and the administration report was absolutely damming. It confirmed it all. That isn't the point though.
The ownership at wasps, and Coventry Council have kept that thing going at any opportunity despite it being horrendously unsuccessful. They don't care about its sustainability and weren't prepared to stop even when the administration happened. The Gilbert report made them nervous, but if anything has pushed things further underground. One would be foolish to think they've given up on it now, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if some dodgy dealings have gone on.
If it does happen however, the council and wasps better be ready for war.
Fun fact-neither Coventry Street nor Leicester Square are named for either cityI’d say Coventry Street just up the road from Piccadilly Circus would be ideal.
Two dozen people are writing placards and filling up flasks as we speak...The Wasps project has never met with the resistance it should of
I would suggest we ballot the Wasps fans for industrial action but it seems they did that themselves for most of the 8 years they were here. They'll be no war, they'll be a 100 pager on here and a load of silly bollocks on twitter.
The Wasps project has never met with the resistance it should have, why would this be any different? It's an embarrassment to the city to be honest.
And I'm firing up the photocopier. Two dozen people are writing placards and filling up flasks as we speak...
